As first time buyers we were nervous about this process. Rhianna and Shahrukh at PLS however made the process seem very easy for us. The portal is a great tool and the documentation available help our understanding. The case was complicated by a prolonged probate in the seller side but Shahrukh was very patient with us, chasing things up at the end to ensure we completed before our mortgage offer expired. Great experience overall and would very much recommend PLS.

PLS are on the pricier side when it comes to solicitors but the quality of service more than makes up for it. Nick Anderson and his team have been phenomenal in helping us make our first house purchase. Nothing was too tedious a task for them, Nick is super responsive and deals with enquiries himself. They went over and above to meet deadlines, provide advice and help the whole process run smoothly. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I used this firm as they were recommended to me by the developers I was purchasing my new build from. PLS caused me a huge amount of unnecessary stress, namely as follows: 1. The initial fee quote they provide you with will not be the total fees you pay. Expect this fee quote to increase by at least 30% for additional fees they add on which are not included or mentioned within the initial fee quote you receive via email. 2. I was using funds in a Lifetime ISA for my deposit. I was sent multiple emails asking me to deposit funds despite PLS needing to withdraw the funds from the ISA (I was not able to do this). Everything was left to the final day of exchange of contracts meaning I had to exchange on a reservation fee of £500. Whilst I have since been informed that this is a normal process where funds are held in a Lifetime ISA, this was not explained to me at the time causing me huge amounts of stress and concerns that I would lose the property. When they did withdraw the funds from the ISA, they failed to complete the declaration form correctly meaning they left funds within my ISA which I have now had to surrender 25% of the funds as a penalty to HMRC in order to withdraw the remaining balance. 3. I have been disputing some of their fees for several weeks. They continued to provide unsatisfactory responses via email to the fee concerns I raised and no attempt was made to call me to discuss. On the day of completion, I was told that I would have to pay the disputed fees otherwise completion would not take place which felt like they were blackmailing me in to paying their fees despite being incredibly unhappy with their work. Very poor communication throughout, emails containing important information are often not acknowledged and very little attempt to contact me via telephone to try and resolve my concerns.

Great communication from Prashant and the remortgage team. Felt informed all the way through from the broker to the completion. The apps were the hardest part. But not that difficult. My wife and I would like to thank them for their support and efficient service. We both felt very updated and confident throughout the process and highly recommend. This is not our first remortgage but definitely the easiest and most communicated and assured.

Currently in process of buying a house and I cannot say a single good word for this firm. Months and months of waiting that caused me silly amounts of unnecessary stress. Currently living in a hotel as my purchase is still pending. They are not working in the clients best interest.unprofessional,slow,ignorant,rude! You cannot get an update on your case. Not responding to emails or calls for 10+ days.they have an on line portal where you can check NOTHING as it is stuck on the same thing for 3 months now. If you ever need a solicitor don’t bother contacting PLS solicitors.
