I wouldn’t recommend this centre in Stockley Park for families with children or for anyone considering buying a membership for family use. The soft play area has been broken for several months now, and unfortunately, there are no plans to repair it. There are also very few classes available for children, which is quite disappointing. Additionally, facilities like the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi are not accessible to anyone under 16, which limits the experience for families. One of the toilet doors has been broken for a long time and still hasn’t been fixed. The cleanliness of the changing rooms is also not up to standard.

Extremely Disappointed

Extremely Disappointed – Unauthorised Payment After Cancellation I cancelled my membership at Nuffield Health Gym Chigwell and received an official confirmation email stating that my final payment would be on 1st July. Despite this, they still charged my account after the cancellation date. This is completely unacceptable and feels like unauthorised billing. I now have to go through the hassle of disputing the payment and trying to get my money back – even though I have clear written confirmation that my membership had ended. If this is how they handle cancellations, I would strongly advise others to think twice before joining. A gym should be professional and trustworthy, not take money from ex-members without permission. Extremely disappointed with how this has been handled.

I lost 2 stone and gained mobility!

Take everything in… I lost 2 stone of weight by listening to the booklet and taking the information in, would highly recommend, Ellis was fantastic!

Aaron Fowle is my PT and he’s fantastic…

Aaron Fowle is my PT and he’s fantastic - I had been coming to this gym for 3 years and love all the classes and the instructors. I switched to PT when zi decided to do hyrox and saw a lot of change in muscular mass and energy levels. Aaron is a real asset to Nuffield and fitness in general 💪

Highly recommend

I really benefited from the Join Pain Management Program. Friendly, low pressure environment with individual needs/challenges considered. I was encouraged to explore my physical boundaries and found I was able to improve my health considerably in a short amount of time. The program is also designed to educate you on how to manage pain symptoms and improve mental wellbeing. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has suffered for a long time with joint pain.

I have had various procedures done at…

I have had various procedures done at the Leamington Nuffield Health Hospital (CV32 6RW)over many years. This week's visit was for my second Eye Cataract Surgery with Mr Anthony O'Driscoll, who it is a privilege to know. The whole team was excellent, not forgetting to mention Staff Nurse Deborah and her assistant Rachel (?). Sincerely, Patrick Fleming.

I've just completed the joint pain…

I've just completed the joint pain programme at the Fulham centre with Jadrian, who has been very helpful and caring. It's a brilliant programme to help people with movement problems. The booklet also gives sensible advice.

Excellent treatment but awful admin.

My wife has been receiving out-patient care at Guildford Nuffield for a number of years. Her medical care has been excellent and I would normally give a five-star rating. However Nuffield's centralised accounts system is a shambles, hence my two-star rating. On at least three occasions we have either been billed incorrectly, payment taken twice or not at all.

Cancelled appointment

Had an appointment to access the groin hernia I have. Arrived 20 minutes before time, waited until 15 minutes after appointment time, a nurse came to me and said my appointment is cancelled due to unforseen circumstances and they would send me another appointment. They say it costs the hospital £120 for a patient missed appointment, how much for my time, transport etc.

Worst decision

Very rarely am I driven to write a negative review, however 7 months ago I had my left knee replaced with Nuffield Health at The Chesterfield Hospital after having my right knee replaced there 4 years earlier, the contrast in both the level of care post operation and rehabilitation is stark and not for the better. Now being 7 months post op and being less mobile and in more pain than at the start of the journey, this last operation being done at The Chesterfield Hospital was the worst decision I have ever made

Very dirty and smelly wet lobby area - Surbiton

Wet lobby area and female showers in Surbiton Nuffield are very dirty. There shower tiles appear dirty with now with yellow/orange marks as if not cleaned for a while. Mould present. The facilities are a bit dated but there is no excuse for them to also be filthy. But the worst is the wet lobby between female changing rooms and swimming pool: it smells, there always are brown/ orange water puddles on floor and the (apparently) white floor tiles are now brown/ black all the way in the middle. Clearly not cleaned to a standard or often enough. Then people walk through it and go in the pool/ spa. Truly disgusting. When I raised it with the reception staff I was shrugged off, and told to fill in a complaint form! As if they could not have gone, check it and address it. Very disappointing as the building is wonderful and the classes great. Pure negligence to keep the place clean. Considering this is a ‘ flagship ‘ Nuffield centre with the highest membership price, I hope this will now be addressed and rectified.

EAST KILBRIDE NUFFIELD

EAST KILBRIDE NUFFIELD . After a years suffering back and joint pain, locked in that vicious cycle of too sore to exercise, gaining weight and lose muscle mass. My GP telling me a its long wait for physiotherapy I self-referred online to the Nuffield Joint Pain Management Program. (EASY step by step) It is a FREE service lasting 12 weeks,.with small group of 10 all folk in similar position getting 45 minute lessons/ easy excersises tailored especially for joint pain, then a further 12 weeks free membership to all the classes and facilities on offer. This programme and the knowledgeable experienced staff especially Abby, Josh and Lorraine, have totally changed my life. In the short 6 months I have gone from taking prescribed daily pain medication and anti- inflammatory pills to NONE ! I can now excercise, go to the aquafit, and other wellbeing fitness classes several times a week. I can run (slowly jog) 5k without stopping and have went from just over 12 stone to 9 stone...all with the help and support of the Nuffield staff and following their programme. They do a MOT type health check at the start, 12 weeks and then 24 weeks tracking progress. I can't praise the East Kilbride branch and all its staff/ PTs and management enough. It truly has changed my mindset and my life. I 100% recommend anyone with joint issues or who just want to get fit and healthy safely to go research them for yourself, go for a visit.

After booking a family pass in Reading

After booking a family pass in Reading, I was told children are not allowed to go to the swimming pool today by the receptionist in nutffield. We were advised to phone first in future or go to wokingham. So misleading online and what a waste of time.
