I wouldn’t recommend this centre in Stockley Park for families with children or for anyone considering buying a membership for family use. The soft play area has been broken for several months now, and unfortunately, there are no plans to repair it. There are also very few classes available for children, which is quite disappointing. Additionally, facilities like the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi are not accessible to anyone under 16, which limits the experience for families. One of the toilet doors has been broken for a long time and still hasn’t been fixed. The cleanliness of the changing rooms is also not up to standard.

Extremely Disappointed

Extremely Disappointed – Unauthorised Payment After Cancellation I cancelled my membership at Nuffield Health Gym Chigwell and received an official confirmation email stating that my final payment would be on 1st July. Despite this, they still charged my account after the cancellation date. This is completely unacceptable and feels like unauthorised billing. I now have to go through the hassle of disputing the payment and trying to get my money back – even though I have clear written confirmation that my membership had ended. If this is how they handle cancellations, I would strongly advise others to think twice before joining. A gym should be professional and trustworthy, not take money from ex-members without permission. Extremely disappointed with how this has been handled.

I lost 2 stone and gained mobility!

Take everything in… I lost 2 stone of weight by listening to the booklet and taking the information in, would highly recommend, Ellis was fantastic!

Aaron Fowle is my PT and he’s fantastic…

Aaron Fowle is my PT and he’s fantastic - I had been coming to this gym for 3 years and love all the classes and the instructors. I switched to PT when zi decided to do hyrox and saw a lot of change in muscular mass and energy levels. Aaron is a real asset to Nuffield and fitness in general 💪

Surgery: Great After Care: Poor

Update:Nobody from Nuffield has been in touch with me at all! The reply below is a full on lie. Absolute shambles Clarification: I am reposting this review as I previously posted it and was promised Nuffield would look into it. They never did and I never heard back from them so I want to repost this stating that’s how I was treated so everyone can be aware of this. I had surgery here recently. The Surgeon Dr Shibu was fantastic as was the pre and post op staff and all the nurses. My huge negative was the fact that the chest compression garment I was required to wear upon being discharged hadn’t arrived in time so I was left to go home without it and still had on the top bandages that should’ve been removed upon being discharged. I then had to travel back in the next day and collect the garments myself! One was a medium which fit in the slightest and based on my height and weight would’ve never fit and the large was the half body style vest so it’s so uncomfortable it’s almost unbearable and I have to wear this for another 6 weeks at least. If the hospital had actually told me they were getting me 2 garments I’d have asked for the second to be the full body style that is applicable for my post op care. Lastly when I went to collect the garments the staff about 2 different front desks had literally no idea what I was talking about despite them calling and asking me to come collect! Imagine 24 hours after being discharged from having chest surgery and being made to walk around the hospital asking for the post op care I’ve paid for! I also had to get my wife to remove my bandages, clean and redress them and apply the garment as no nurse helped or anything. Really poor ending to and otherwise professionally superb experience
