The water softener has been installed for 10 months. During that time there have been a couple of separate issues regarding it's operation reducing the softening quality. On both occasions Monarch have been very supportive and on both occasion have rectified the issue effectively with minimal fuss. Overall the unit is excellent and so is the service that I have received from Monarch.
Dom fixed the issue with my softener and gave a full explanation of what had caused the problem. Very happy with the service from Monarch, I highly recommend using this company.

Monarch were asked to replace one of their slightly aged water softeners in our house with their latest model. This was a simple job of uncoupling the existing unit and inserting the new. The cost quoted for the installation was over £200.
On completion the engineer was unable to commission the unit because they don’t provide the dishwasher salt. Then he refused to remove the old unit saying that that was my responsibility. So I was left with a new but unusable machine with no salt and the now defunct machine. This is not what I expected for my money.
Our water softener was easy to install and seems to be working well. Instructions obtained online, would prefer to have a written pamphlet. The softner appears easy to maintain.
Five Stars had it not been for a manufacturer fault
This review could have been 5 stars but for a manufacturing defect that made my "Midi HE" salt chamber repeatedly overflow. The Monarch service department responded quickly to my problem, but due to holiday and other commitments I had to defer the visit of Paul (Monarch Engineer) a couple of times. Paul found the problem within 20 minutes. The blue coloured resin chamber had not been fully tightened to the head assembly and had been allowing leaking water into the salt chamber. Paul said this is the first time he had experienced this manufacturing error. Two months on... and all is well. No scale anywhere on sinks, taps, shower trays, shower glass panels etc., etc!
Initial set up is easy - especially if you are replacing an existing softener or have the plumbing ready.
Slight leak from bypass valve. Phoned Monarch and within 5 minutes a replacement was in the post - FoC. Brilliant company.
Also Dave Fox in Broadstairs (try him if you're local), our plumber, agreed to change the old for the new for us.

Very effective replacement for a previous water softener. Does exactly what it says it will do, and does it very well. We are very pleased with our purchase.
This product was supposed to descale water for a house with two bathrooms and a family ,it does not work our kettle still needs descaling every week because the water is still very hard. 3 hundred pounds wasted !!
