I recently used the Tooting Bec branch of Marsh and Parson to sell my property and cannot speak highly enough of their Director, Angelo Mulholland. Angelo and Thomas Syms were reliable and honest in their dealings with me, they are both highly experienced agents who know the wider housing market and the local market well and understand the impact of the change in one on the other. Connor Marney, managed the on-the-ground marketing and sale of my property, an absolute star! Calm and reliable, unfailingly polite and hard working I felt really fortunate having Connor as part of my sales team. A big thank you to M&P, I have no hesitation in recommending you!

I worked with Marsh and Parsons to do a short-term lease. My agent rushed me to send over full funds (deposit and entirety of rent) immediately to secure the flat, warning me that I might not get the place otherwise, so I did. He wrote to confirm that I got the place. A month later, he said that I actually did not get the place as apparently the landlord was no longer renting it out, despite the contract and confirmation. He β€œgenerously” β€” that’s sarcasm β€” offered to refund the money. When he sent it back, it was short $1k. He refused to do anything else about it. Not only did he fail to fulfill contract obligations and screw me over that way, he also caused me financial loss for the privilege.

Positive experience with Marsh & Parsons

I recently moved into a flat in London. Maliha from Marsh & Parsons was extremely helpful and responsive whenever I had issues or questions. The move-in process went smoothly and Maliha kept in contact, guiding me through the tenancy agreement, deposits and other important details.

Awful and unlawful

Current tenant of Marsh and Parsons. Dealings with the Brooke Green Agents. I have spent years being a Lettings & Property Manager myself and I have never witnessed such awful customer service... From the offbeat - pushy. Put us into a 3-year contract. Made us pay the deposit and rent before we passed our references. Our move-in date got pushed back and I had to fight to change the start date of the contract we had already signed to the new move-in date. And then once we had already moved into the property, we were told we hadn't passed a 'secondary reference' required by the building management so we actually shouldn't have been given keys. Moved in and there was a broken window which they didn't fix for well over a week. Numerous maintenance issues which still have had no reasonable resolve over a year later. They have now put the flat on the market for sale without informing us (I had to see it on Rightmove) - and their Sales department clearly didn't inform the Lettings/Property Management department or tell the landlord that he would need to be looking for buy-to-let buyer as it is currently being sold as empty... huh. Just complete lack of communication or care. I feel sorry for this landlord, no wonder they want to sell this flat.

Marsh and Parsons sent me JUNK MAIL and made me pay for it!! I received a letter stating I needed to pay the postage for an unidentified letter. I paid the amount and then received the letter to see that it’s solicitation for business! Are you joking me??!!

The majority of reviews are bad here…

The majority of reviews are bad here and I understand why. I have rented a property for nearly 2 years from them. The service is atrocious. Very unhelpful and unsupportive. They conned me into a 2 year lease and then when I explained I had been in hospital and wanted to end my tenancy early they couldn't have cared less. Now I have rats in my property and surprise surprise they're not interested. All they care about is making money and they have shown no humanity. It's a disgrace and the company should be ashamed of itself. I will never rent from them again.

Avoid if you can!

Nice & friendly until you sign the contract (Tenant) and after that just delays upon delays upon delays. Lots of faffing around and little of actually doing anything. Utterly ignored when trying to get our deposit back, dispute in progress. Avoid like a plague if you can.

A V O I D

Stress and unwanted worry, AVOID. Worse agency I've every rented with. If you've got anything important to sort with them my advice would be give them 3 months to deal with it, and expect false accusations and unwanted stress. Every agent we've had who have 'managed' our property have been appalling, they drop out halfway through dealing with your request and then you're back to square one. Had 2 tenancy swaps and both have taken 3+ months to complete. It's easy to say avoid, but if there's a chance you can I would suggest it. I hope I never have to deal with Marsh and Parsons again.

How are this company still running?!

Terrible service! Tenants were given their full deposit back without permission from the landlord and before the flat was checked after their move. We have had to clear all the broken furniture they left, pay an electrician to rewire the flat after they tried to rewire it themselves(?!), replace broken door handles and sockets and it needed a deep clean as the place was so filthy! Marsh and Parson would be better saving the money they pay to advertise on the tube and using it to better their service for both landlords and tenants!

Forcing to sign a 3 year lease with no break clause

Me and my partner were looking for a flat, and found some really great ones with Marsh and Parsons. However, we were consistently told that the landlords wanted a 3 year lease, and completely disregarded a break clause to be put in the contract. Having read other reviews of horror stories of this exact situation of tenants being unable to get out of their lease due to this, we decided to avoid them. Thought I'd post a review saying to be wary of the 3 year tenancy! A break clause should be absolutely required and is not a luxury to ask for.
