I’ve recently gone through a dispute with Lycamobile after experiencing months of unusable service — dropped calls, no signal, and zero help from customer support despite multiple attempts. I escalated the issue to CISAS (case 696826), and the adjudicator found that Lycamobile failed to provide service with reasonable care and skill, and directed them to cancel the contract, compensate me, and issue a formal apology. As of now, I’m still waiting for the company to follow through on the decision. I hope they’ll do the right thing within the deadline — not just because they’re required to, but because it’s the right thing to do. I’ll update this review depending on how Lycamobile responds in the coming days.
I paid for a one off 30 day bundle on a pay as you go SIM for visitors from overseas. Lyca mobile set up an auto top-up without my knowledge. I discovered this when they took the first auto-renewal payment and when I called to tell them to stop it they wouldn't allow this to be done because the SIM card was in my friends name. Absolutely appalling customer service to get resolved. Don't know how a company can refuse to take my bank details off an account without someone else's permission when it is my bank card that I never said they could link to the account in the first place.
