Matthew Walker did a great job…

Matthew Walker did a great job installing our new water filtration system in our basement. He was thorough and made sure everything works correctly. He showed me how it all works and was very pleasant while doing it. My only issue is that there were supposed to be two others to come to the house within a few days to move my old system outside. That has not happened.

The entire process was quick and easy

The entire process was quick and easy. Our new system was installed within a week of ordering it. The installers had to brave some challenging weather but arrived on time. The installation was quick and professional. The water in our house seems to be softer and cleaner since the system was installed.

A NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE

Business Review: Leaf Home WS of NC – A Nightmare Experience If you’re considering LeafHome of NC for your water filtration needs, I urge you to run in the opposite direction. My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare—filled with lies, deception, and complete disregard for customer service. Deceptive Sales Tactics I hired Water Leaf of NC to install a sulfur water filter for my newly purchased home. The salesman, Mr. Farr, knowingly sold me a system that was not capable of handling my sulfur levels. His water tests should have clearly indicated this, yet he proceeded with the sale, hiding the fact that the system wouldn’t work. After installation, they instructed me to “run the system for two weeks” to allow it to cycle and function properly. That was a blatant lie. I later discovered that the system cycles in just 20 minutes—meaning if it didn’t work immediately, it never would. They knowingly installed a useless system. False Promises & Poor Installation Failure to Connect the Refrigerator: Mr. Farr assured me they would connect my refrigerator water line. They didn’t. When I called him about it, they said they would charge me an entire new installation fee to come back. Obviously, I refused. Delayed Installation: They scheduled my installation 10 days later than I needed it. When I found out the system didn’t work, they scheduled another 10-day delay before attempting to fix it. Lazy Troubleshooting & More Lies: When the technician finally arrived, he claimed that two water lines were “flipped backward” and told me, again, to wait two more weeks for it to work properly. But as I already knew, the system cycles in 20 minutes, not two weeks! Useless “Process” to Avoid Taking Responsibility: After it was clear the system was faulty, they refused to take it back. Instead, they scheduled another technician visit 10 days out again, just to “read the panel.” This was just another stall tactic. Customer Service is a Joke I called Water Leaf at least ten times, and every response was a robotic, scripted excuse. They refused to pick up the faulty system without first sending a technician—who, when he finally came, arrived in a car with no way to remove the system! When I explained this was pointless, he called his boss, and I received the same zombie response: “We have a process.” Translation? “Screw you, we’re keeping your money.” Even Water Leaf’s corporate office in Ohio attempted to intervene, but their calls to the Greensboro branch were ignored. That was two weeks ago—and Water Leaf still refuses to take back the filter. How I Finally Escaped This Scam Thankfully, I disputed the charge with my credit card company, which refunded my money and promised to take Water Leaf to court if they fight it. Today, I had a fully functioning sulfur filter installed by a reputable company (K-N-T-Co). Their installer confirmed that Water Leaf is infamous for being the biggest crooks in the area. To make matters worse, I found out that: Mr. Farr was fired from K-N-T-Co before Water Leaf hired him. This very house had a Water Leaf filter installed 7 years ago—and it was immediately returned! Mr. Farr was the salesman back then, too. He came here, recognized the house, knew the system wouldn't work, and still scammed me anyway. Final Verdict: Avoid Water Leaf of NC at All Costs Their sales team lies and hides critical information. They delay installations and repairs to stall customers. They refuse to take back faulty systems. Their customer service is worthless. I strongly recommend going with a trusted local company instead. If you’re in North Carolina, stay far away from Water Leaf—unless you enjoy being lied to and scammed.

LEAF HOME IS A SCAM

This is our first well filter system. They completely lied to us about not needing anything but salt. Apparently it needs a lamp yearly or more, but didnt tell us that part. Also, you can't change it yourself even thought its SIMPLE - they charge a $300 fee for 10 minutes or less of work, or it VOIDS your warranty. They are a scam artist and I will NEVER buy ANYTHING from Leaf Home, Leaf Filter... again in my life!! And I'm in my early 30s and I will make sure everyone on my facebook... knows about this!!!!! They also never came back like they said they would to test the water after and do a comparison - they lie a lot!

Kenny was professional and personable.

Kenny was professional and personable. Explained everything in a clear and understandable way. Being older, that doesn't necessarily mean I'll retain all the info he shared. Thank goodness for the "Owner's Manual" he left for me. It's only been 2 days since installation, but used to having soft water, so this will be a blessing. Thank you, Kenny.

Clean, smooth, water

Everything went very smoothly and professionally. From Marissa, who came out and tested my water and gave me an estimate, to the install the next day, and the install of an outside electrical receptacle the day after. And now to how great the water feels. And what a nice job it will do to flush out my pipes. Would definitely recommend to anyone who’s looking to put in a water filtration system in their home.

Prompt and unbelievable loyalty on time.

Prompt, immediate scheduling new installation, experience employees, I’m talking about 2 hours after fielding out requesting water sample tests and the chemist 👩‍🔬 Haley was at our home in 6 hours to preform water tests and requested soft water insulation the next day unheard of installation the next day. Mario was on site and he did a beautiful and neat 6 install, very knowledgeable employee and experienced person.

The experience was great with Matthew…

The experience was great with Matthew Walker, Matthew was punctual, had all the equipment with him. very neat and respectful to me and my home. He cleaned up after himself. Took time to review device and set it up. Matthew had patience with all my questions and answered all of them. Matthew followed up with the office for correct info.

RecSetting up an appointment was easy

Setting up an appointment was easy, they had availability the same week. The rep came by gave me all the info I needed and then some. He explained everything thoroughly and worked with me to get me what I needed at an affordable cost. They don't just try to sell you everything possible. A few days later the system was installed. So far, I am a happy customer!

Satisfied Customer!!!!!

've had my whole house filtration system for about a year now. I have to say I'm as happy now as I was day one. From day one the salesman Kevin, who made it as painless as possible, to the installation guy (sorry I forgot his name) it went so smoothly. The one service I needed once, was handled great. I had three quotes before i chose them. i will say there was a cheaper company but the product didn't match up. Waited a year to write this just to be sure. Very happy customer here and would recommend, hands down. Hope you get the same saleman as I did!!!!

I was mislead about maintaining the unit yearly.

I like that our water is much softer. I asked our salesman if there was anything we had to do to the system. He said no. Looking through the booklet, I found out that the unit needs yearly maintenance. When I called to find out about that, I was given an estimate of $125 yearly! Wow! I don’t like that at all!
