Major Drop Off Recently

Recently, my partner and I, both with iD have been unable to make or receive either calls or texts. People have tried to contact us and cannot get through. I can't call out. I've contacted customer service and they tell me I'm lying, but other customers are reporting the same issues. There's just no network. I'm paying for the ability to miss important phone calls. I'll be leaving iD as soon as I have time to organise a new contract.

I.D Mobile Upfront Costs

When I first joined I.D Mobile over 8 years ago I found it to be very affordable,but recently it has gone down hill,the signal is terrible, frequent outages the phone I have on contract with them has now developed a pink line down one side of the screen so I tried to get another contract for a new phone and got turned down,I have 5 more months left on my existing contract stuck with a defective phone. Just had so much trouble with this network The upfront costs are now so high I've decided I won't be upgrading and will be changing my network provider... I do not recommend this mobile phone network.

Quite possibly the worst mobile network on planet Earth – ID Mobile

Welcome to 2025, where even my toaster has better signal than ID Mobile. 99% of the time you’re blessed with either no network, no internet, or a magical combination of both. Their app? Oh, a true masterpiece of digital garbage – slow, buggy, and refuses to let you top-up or buy a plan when you actually need it. But don’t worry – you wouldn’t get service anyway even if it did work. Let’s talk about customer service – or rather, a collective of confused people who have no clue what their own company even offers. Every single time I walk into a store and ask for a simple PAYG top-up, the staff stare at me like I just asked them to explain quantum physics. β€œWe don’t offer that service,” they say... while I’ve been using it for SIX YEARS. It’s like they’re working for a company they’ve never even heard of. And online payments? LOL. Try praying to the gods, it might work faster. For at least three years, topping up online has been a complete joke. And nobody gives a damn. Currently, my plan is supposedly active until June 28th – at least according to their stupid app – but guess what? It expired a week ago. No data, no calls, and NO WAY to fix it because the app blocks me from topping up, thinking I still have a plan running. Last month, I added Β£20 to get the unlimited plan. The app refused to let me buy it until the current plan expired. But instead of warning me when it did, the system sneakily started eating up my credit, bit by bit, for God knows what. Boom – Β£20 gone. Had to top-up AGAIN just to function like a normal human being. ID Mobile is not just incompetent – they’re a parody of a mobile network. Possibly the most brain-dead excuse for a telecom company in existence. Save yourself the pain and RUN as far away as possible. And here’s the cherry on top: I’m 100% sure they have access to every single customer chat log, so they can easily check how many times I personally have contacted them with the exact same issues over and over again. But do they care? Of course not. Even now, their useless chatbot kicks me out of the queue before I can even speak to a real human being. It’s like their entire system is designed to frustrate and ignore you until you give up. Avoid this company like the plague.

You cannot port your number on their internal systems

I am on a monthly pay-as-you-go contract with IDMobile and looking at their specials I wanted to take up a 24month contract for a new mobile handset. But alas, as Anusha from their online helpline stated: IDMobile is unable to port a mobile number internally from a pay-as-you-go to a new contract without the mobile number being 'lost'. Which means my only option for getting the handset I want AND keeping my number is for me to cancel my pay-as-you-go with them - use another supplier for a month and then I can come back to IDMobile to take up a new handset outside in my current 'upgrade path'. What do you think I'm going to do?

I wish the coverage of the Three network was better!

I just switched from O2 and the mobile coverage in my area with the Three network is not great. Whilst this is not a issue with ID as a company, I feel your service is professional and the switch was fairly slick, in the end this is the service you provide....

The data is not fit for purpose

The data is useless, not fit for purpose, constant buffering. I have tried to complain but the complaints line is constantly jammed. AVOID!!! I eventually got through to Customer Service after waiting 1 hour and 10 minutes on the phone. The bot only works if your question meets their very limited vocabulary, it didn't even understand 'data not working '. Improvements are definitely needed. Also, I'm waiting for my cashback from Carphone Warehouse. My ID Mobile account was taken out through them and was due to arrive within 28 days (by today). When I complained this morning I was told it would take another 21 days to arrive!!
