Good communication
It was ok for the first few months, but then it required a network extender to work at the same efficiency. After that it was a massive fall in quality, it cannot work efficiently at any point in time anymore.

I spoke to someone yesterday about my Wifi being down, after calling back today about it still not working i spoke to a bloke called Norbert and his colleague Mateo. After explaining my problem again to Norbert. After literally 2-3 minutes it was back up working again. Absolute masters at there jobs!! Thank you men.
So after being held Captive by KCOM for so many years the market opened up when another network installed their own fibre lines in and around Hull East Yorkshire. This opened the market to many providers and after the initial rush died down I started looking at an alternative. Home Telecom came out on both price, and perhaps as important - customer support feedback. Nothing worse than waiting half an hour on the phone, only to play handler ping-pong! In all my dealings all my call handlers have been both prompt, and knowledeable, and with one minor exception (my fault not theirs) all my issues have been resolved. Then of course there's the online chat availabilty. This has been exceptional, faster than a gazelle been chased by a hugry pride of lions. My last interaction (Scott Jordan) had me sorted and ticket raised for further investigation in record time. So, did I make the right choice ? Two months down the line (pun not intended) I believe I have. No more lagging watching my fave videos or providor "choking" at peak times.
Jay Brown from Vouch company has made it really easy for me to switch my current providers following the house move. He explained thoroughly everything I had questions about and made the process easy and enjoyable.
Advisor was amazing. Looked after me, very well. Going through a torrid family problem at the moment. He was very understanding and empathetic. His knowledge of product and set up information was first class. He has made my broadband needs for future, a lot more easier. He is a credit to your company. Kindest regards. Mr Law.
Sarah was incredibly helpful and gave me the best advice and got my issue sorted!
UPDATE - 15 May 2025… still no refund despite the comment below from someone at Home Telecom promising it would be dealt with swiftly. Absolutely terrible company - avoid at all costs! I am a former Gigabit customer, and the service was taken over by home telecom. The broadband never worked during the whole time we were with home telecom. Eventually in late February/early March I called to cancel the service. The gentleman on the phone told me that he was sorry about that and would cancel the service immediately. Lo and behold a few days later, the monthly did went out of our account. I called back and was told it would be refunded and it would take 10 days. About a month later, the money was still not in my account so I called again. It was explained to me that the person I had originally spoken with had left the company and the case had not been passed on to anyone else. This seemed a fair explanation and since he promised to move it forward, I left it at that. I received the usual “10 days to process”. I waited the 10 days and called again. This time it was an oversight and I was told that it had been escalated and would be dealt with immediately. I was also given an email address to contact, which I did. On the 17th April I was told that I would be receiving a credit. I emailed back immediately and explained a credit was no good as I was no longer a customer and I had been promised a refund. I then received an email saying I would be refunded and it would take “10 days”. I had not received my refund by 28 April, so called again, again I was told that there had been an error of some sorts and that they would process the refund on the Friday and it would be with quickly, but could take 10 days. Guess what, no refund today so I called again and was told that it was still awaiting some approvals. When I pushed for more information, I was then told that a credit needed adding to my account before a refund could be processed. This has now been done… and guess what… they will only process refunds on a Friday and it will then take “10 days”. I was really cross that nothing was moving forward so asked to speak with either a manager or anyone that could actually get this issue resolved. I was also told that the only way to complain was for me to say I wanted to complain to the person I was talking to (Khimalli) and he would pass it on to the correct department. Not likely seeing as any of the departments are unable to talk to each other. So here I am, no service for months, no refund for the service I did not get, and a completely incompetent company (unless they are unable to afford to refund the £49 promised - which now seems a very low offer given the very awful service). In short DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
