Clean and tidy store

I visited the ashington branch. The store was airy and clean . After I selected my goods off I went to the checkout. There were a couple of ladies in front of me and they were greeted with a hello by the checkout lady called jenna. .she was friendly and polite to them and even said thank you. Then it came to my turn what a jekyll and Hyde. I got no greeting I was giving no eye contact I got no please or thank you she was only interested in getting another member of staff on the tills so was talking to her colleague while zapping my products? 2 star service and that's being generous

Home Bargains in Albany Road, Cardiff

I visit Home Bargains earlier this afternoon in Albany Road Cardiff, 1 of your staff name Luke ( he maybe a supervisor ) wearing red shirt walked in front of me when me and my son was looking at the shelf to see what drinks to buy, what he could have done is walked behind us and he did not even say 'sorry' or 'excuse me' for doing that, I found that is kind of 'rude' attitude towards customers. You know I work in retail myself so that kind of behaviour is not acceptable.

Online service is TERRIBLE

Online service is TERRIBLE! Made 2 orders 2 days appart..aparently the 2nd one is "on its way" the first one had "missing items" so aparently theyre sending the other things but its been a week with no updates, and customer service is non existent...

A huge thankyou to Sam at Haddington store

Would like to say a huge thankyou to Sam R at the Haddington store, and the lady on the till who without prompt went above and beyond to call him over after seeing I was struggling with an injured arm. Sam helped me without reservation, and went way beyond helping me to my car. I appreciate how hard retail staff work nowadays, often doing tyhe jobs of 3 people, and this is a busy store, so to be treated with such compassion and humanity was a rare thing in these times. I try to buy as much of my shopping as possible from Home bargains, as unlike most other shops you can deal with real human beings who don't throw your shopping at you and groan at you for not using their automated self checkout, oblivious and uncaring for your reasons why. Most injuries, disabilities and human struggles are not visible, and treating people with compassion and dignity is way more valuable to society than short term profits and targets. Keep up the great work Home Bargains Haddington, most of my friends have boycotted Aldis and Tesco locally in favour of your store wherever possible, particularly for the traditional shopping experience and independent/regional dairy and fresh produce. Thankyou 😊

The Whitley branch, Reading.

The Whitley, Reading branch has to have a mention. The staff overall are extremley helpful. Dylan the manager is brilliant. The cafe staff must have a mention as they are so welcoming, as they cope with an amazing amount of people on a day to day basis always happy to accomadate. But please why no music in there. We used to have music and a little bit of laughter it now seems dull. Please let's have some music and a little laughter in the cafe! Merry Christmas ! Great service.

Awful pillows I bought a pack awful of hotel pillows at my…

I bought a pack of hotel pillows at my local store when first sleeping on them I thought how comfortable However... several day's later I had lower back pain an extremely bad neck Horrendous dizziness and nausea I thought it couldn't possibly be my pillows and sure enough after 6 days of extreme discomfort I returned to my soft pillows I am now back to my healthy self again You couldn't pay me to sleep on them again..

Dont bother with online ordering

Dont bother with online ordering. Placed an order got confirmation and money taken. But no updates on contacting told no orders have appeared against mt e mail.so i have no goods and they have raken my money are home bargains e mails scams .willnever use again thieves.

DON’T BUY ONLINE

DON’T BUY ONLINE Half of my (£100+) order never arrived, I had no communication to find out why, tried ringing 3 times (homebargains & delivery team), I still don’t know why. Had to wait several weeks for a refund. I worked out exactly how much it should be. When it came it was £21.54 short. I’m bet the next two weeks I fought to get my money back. I even found out exactly what the problem was, but Collette, the lady assigned to my problem, wouldn’t listen. She just repeated that as far as she was concerned the delivery people have said that this is what the refund should be so that’s what I got - £21.54 short of what I paid. I ended up circling her own statement and the delivery statement she sent me, to clearly show her where the problem laid, also said I was getting my bank involved. By this point, it wasn’t the £21.54 anymore, it was the fact that I was repeatedly sending proof to Collette and she just wasn’t budging, couldn’t be bothered to sort it. As soon as I mentioned the bank involvement I received a refund, but to this date, I’ve had no apology whatsoever. Disgusting way to treat a good customers who ordered at least £150 worth of goods every 6 weeks or so. Not ordered from them online since and never will again- thanks Collette 👎

Went to my local shop

Went to my local shop, asked staff to check if an item was available in the warehouse... They replied... They are too busy to check if something is in stock.... Very poor customer service and very unprofessional, won't be using again.

Sarah on christmas isle speke store

Sarah at home bargains speke on the christmas isle was really helpfull testing lights and even persuaded me to buy a 16.5 foot grinch which my kids loved really nice person and lots of time for customers which is rare these days keep up the good work
