Worthwhile escalation

Once aware of the process and access to the online system the complaint was handled very well and I received a fast resolution from Octopus. They had shown no interest in resolving my complaint about refunding my credit balance on transferring my energy account elsewhere. The Ombudsman case definitely made them sit up and deal with it and I received a full refund and compensation for the mistakes made.

Dishonest

Octopus haven't completed their actions in the given time frame and have no date to do so, yet you've closed the case stating that Octopus have completed their actions! I still do not have a working gas metre since Octopus tried and failed to install a smart metre in February, 5 months ago. All I want is a metre that works so I know how much gas we are using and what I should be paying.

Excellent help

I received excellent help from the Ombudsman to resolve a problem with OVO that had been going on for months. Their prompt action helped bring things to a satisfactory conclusion. I'm very grateful to them.

The Energy Ombudsman helped me reclaim £2,500 from EDF

I’m extremely grateful to the Energy Ombudsman for resolving a long-standing billing dispute with EDF. Despite repeated attempts to sort it out directly, I was being chased for thousands in back-billed charges that I believed were unfair. The Ombudsman reviewed my case fairly and thoroughly, and ultimately found in my favour — resulting in a £2,500 refund from EDF. The process took some time, but communication was clear and professional throughout. They gave both sides a chance to respond, and I always felt like my concerns were being taken seriously. If you’re in a similar situation and feel like you’ve hit a wall with your energy supplier, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend taking your case to the Ombudsman. They genuinely made a difference.

Absolutely no point whatsover using the…

Absolutely no point whatsover using the Energy Ombudsman as the scammers who are signing businesses up over the phone, can stitch you up with a carefully named company and a carefully worded phone call that is apparently all totally legal! No signatures needed. No cooling off. Goes against every rule in the business book and the Ombudsman can do nothing! Total waste of time. THE SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE CHANGED!!!!!!

Incredible service, thank you!

After disputing and going back and worth for 4 months with UW on a wildly incorrect bill I received based on false meter readings, had no choice but to contact the energy ombudsman. Best decision ever, they got everything sorted for me within 4 days! So thankful for their assistance, finally feel like I can relax and UW will learn a lesson!

Waste of time

Waste of time. This is the second time I've used these for a complaint and the second time they've told me they've found OVO at fault but there's nothing they can do to make OVO put it right, so I need to take them to Small Claims Court.

Back-bill from BG

After receiving a out of the blue back bill for thousands I was worried to say the least, having contacted the provider it was clear I was getting nowhere. After contacting the Energy Ombudsman's they helped me navigate a fair process that allowed me a voice and an opportunity to state my case, and all in all it was an amazing result. There is no doubt in my mind that without their involvement I would have been left for pay the back bill in full. So I cannot thank them enough.

Fantastic Service

After 6 months of unsuccessfully dealing with the utilities company directly, I reported the issue to the Energy Ombudsman on a Sunday. Lynne from the Energy Ombudsman called on the Monday and from then on it was all plain sailing. It would be nice if other Ombudsmen would be acting as quickly, impartially and efficiently as the Energy Ombudsman. Thank you for all your help in finally resolving this long-standing issue!

Why are you not addressing bionics…

Why are you not addressing bionics sales tactics. Loads of complaints and you are doing very little .. My complaint was delt with by the person I complained about. I don't understand so many people running buissness aren't abel to arange a power contract becase they don't listen. ..Come onmsisman. Very interested in your reply on this. I won't give you 1 star as you did answer questions ect and had a good manner while doing this. .. but seams like you don't have any ability to do any thing. .
