Overall good service
Used Enact to remortgage. Pretty smooth process, kept informed throughout. Got a response via the messaging option when needed and got through on the phone every time I called. Would use Enact again.
They were tremendously helpful throughout

Smooth experience and great support and service! I did my remortgage through Enact conveyancing and they took away any pain points between the borrowers. Their portal is great to keep you quickly updated on documents and next steps. When needed, it's easy to get in touch with them via telephone or through a Live chat/call back on their online platform. Would use them again in the future!

I recently remortgaged which included free legal fees and was told that this would be with Enact Conveyancing. I was allocated Shannon Moore as my case handler and the service I was provided was amazing from start to finish, the online portal to manage everything is really simple to use and makes everything so much more efficient than waiting for documents to arrive through the post. Also it has a progress tracker so you always know where you are up to. Although Enact was provided for by my mortgage company Inwould definitely pay for their service in the future.

The customer service center is open til 20:00 even on a Saturday and Sunday which is really helpful. Also on the online portal there is a real time gauge showing what stage your application is up to. The staff on the phone were always very helpful also

Unfortunately this was chosen by the bank for remortgage application, or otherwise I will never recommend anyone to choose them, unless you are ok with every respond are being carried out by Bot. Never give any respond via their online chat. What's more, sending you SMS asking for call back, which they never call in the first place. The person who answer the phone is rude and simply doesn't care. It makes worst when they doesn't have knowledge about your case. Instead, just insist on getting pass the step which is assigned. Never recommend.

Remortgaging with NatWest and Enact were part of the package. The call-line staff are very pleasant and helpful, but my case manager was absolutely rubbish. He was slow, unresponsive, kept requesting information that I had already provided and did not read the case notes. :( 4-jul-25: my mortgage completed on time, so I have increased my rating. There is still room for improvement when it comes to communication. I would have appreciated an explanation of what to expect from ENACT at the start of the process.

I don't have an automatic problem with funnelling everyone through an online portal except for when it's accompanied with sloppy service which was my experience. Communication was really poor - was like getting blood out of a stone and that classic thing when you ask 3 questions and get a reply with a partial answer to 1 question. There was a total lack of proactivity on their end. They use automation for follow ups but it's a really poorly tuned system that sends irrelevant messages at confusing timings, and puts them in the same chat window where you are talking with a human which often creates serious confusion. After asking for clarification on exactly what was required about 5 times and finally got an answer, I was directed to sign the mortgage deed electronically. They didn't confirm what reference I needed - it turned out it was one I received by text 4 months before and they didn't even prompt me that it would be that! I then signed digitally and they didn't get a notification that I had signed it and therefore, I hadn't signed it. Despite logging in to the land registry site and it showing as signed. They said only option is to do paper signing (which I try to avoid at every opportunity given its 2025). I did their homework for them and pursued land registry direct who confirmed it will be user error at the conveyancing end putting in wrong details for the notification. Anyway, typically archaic system plus poor customer service. Generally very inefficient. Should be super light touch but instead lots of wasted to and fro with people with poor communication skills. Clearly cheap for Santander otherwise they'd have no reason to use them.

Dreadful! We are selling a house to a couple who wish to transfer equity release, Enact have caused delay after delay. This has caused a huge financial loss to everyone in the chain. They donβt respond to solicitors acting for clients in the chain. They waste time raising impractical queries. We have lost thousands of pounds because of the delays and still not sure if the transaction will ever complete. Either way a formal complaint will be lodged with the legal ombudsman.

They are completely hopeless , Aviva would do better using Ai . They don't know the law and do everything they can to hold up a deal rather than complete it . they also forget that they are dealing with old frail people (in equity release ) and that means nothing to them. I have made a formal complaint to Aviva , not that that will get me far .Michael Wolff
