My wife and I started our catering business three years ago from our kitchen, and honestly, the accounting side was always a disaster. We tried using different apps and even hired a bookkeeper briefly, but nothing seemed to stick. Found Deskera through a Facebook group for small business owners who were dealing with similar struggles. The accounting features have helped us track expenses properly - especially important since we buy ingredients from multiple suppliers and need to know our actual food costs per event. The invoice templates look professional which matters when dealing with corporate clients. Had to call support a few times when setting up our chart of accounts, and they walked me through it patiently. We’ve been using Deskera . and it has been greatt for this - Mainly to organize track rental periods, and automatically calculate fees based on rental duration. Had to customize some fields for our specific needs like equipment serial numbers and inspection dates. It's made managing our rental operations much more organized for our crew of 12.

Running an auto parts store with my sons means dealing with constant customer orders and supplier deliveries. Our order management was chaotic before Deskera - tracking what we ordered, what arrived, and what still needed to be received was a nightmare. Now the system handles everything from purchase orders to warehouse receiving automatically. When shipments arrive, we can do partial receives if suppliers short us, and everything updates instantly. Good inventory control for growing business

Had to switch from our old inventory system that couldn't handle the growth, we implemented Deskera about 8 months ago. Biggest shift was the inventory control features that let us track materials from raw to finished goods without spreadsheets. Setup wasn’t that easy, especially batch tracking configuration, but support helped with the complex parts along the way. Good functionality for the price point.

I took over my late father's restaurant…

I took over my late father's restaurant supply distribution business two years ago. At that time everything was a complete mess. Dad ran things the old-school way and I honestly had no idea how he kept track of anything. Inventory was all over the place. We were constantly running out of essential kitchen equipment while overstocked on specialty items that barely moved. Implemented Deskera about 10 months ago, and it was crucial to the whole process. Keeping track of the inventory in real time makes it easy to know what we have in stock instead of guessing or walking the warehouse. No more over stocking or understocking which was just normal before. The dashboard also makes it easy to have it all in one place, instead of separate reports like Dad used to do manually.

Used outdated systems in our family…

Used outdated systems in our family hardware store for years. Finding software that wasn't too complex was important for us (dad and uncle are not very familiar with tech), and Deskera provided what we needed without being overwhelming. There was a learning curve about two months before everyone was comfortable with the new system. Support has been generally helpful, though they seem more familiar with service businesses than retail. Despite some minor glitches after updates, it's been a good modernization for our business.

About 6 months ago, we implemented Deskera for our electrical contracting business after considering several options, including some industry-specific software. We ultimately chose Deskera for its price and simplicity. Setup took about three weekends to transfer our customer database, parts inventory, and job history. The quote and invoice templates were easy to customize, which helped maintain our professional appearance.Job costing has improved. Medical supply company

Our medical supply company switched to Deskera after our old software couldn't be updated anymore. We chose it partly for the price and partly for the clean interface. Data migration was challenging but expected with any system change. Support helped during transition. The inventory management works well for tracking our supplies, though we needed custom fields for lot numbers and expiration dates. Reporting has improved significantly.
