Terrible company, shocking communication
Our experience with Conveyancing Direct was a total letdown. It felt like we were completely in the dark, especially as first-time buyers, thanks to their lousy communication. Going through the complaints process, we were constantly brushed off, pretty much putting all of the blame on us for not magically understanding a process we hired them to guide us through. One of the most frustrating things was receving all of the crucial documents we needed, including the fixture and fittings form, DAYS before exchanging. Most of these documents were dated four months prior to this but apparently that's completely normal to be unaware of the details of the house you are buying until it's too late? I know solicitors are typically slow and require you to chase a lot, but when the company are failing to reply to complaints within their own 'prescribed time frame', you know something is wrong. And when they eventually did, they managed to send it to the wrong email addresses entirely - superb attention to detail. If you are purchasing through Connells and have been connected to this company, don't do it. Just Google a well-reviewed local solicitors and use them. Our sellers were also using Conveyancing Direct and we thought it would make the whole process smoother, but I don't think they were handled by the same office, let alone the same team/person. And if they were, I have absolutely no idea how they can manage it so poorly as the reason we were forced to exchange so quickly at the end of the process was due to how frustrated the seller was with them too. There's plenty more we could mention, but in short: avoid them at all costs. The endless bad reviews speak for themselves.

Our estate agent recommended these solicitors and we though that it would make the process quicker and easier so stupidly agreed. After initially bouncing around case handlers we thought we were on our way. Our small 4 house chain was confirmed for sale in early July and we are still have no date. Multiple documents have mysteriously been lost even though we always send recorded signed for. I find it hard to understand the 5 star named reviews they have for this company. you either have superstar solicitors or you have crap ones and nothing in between. If the reviews are real then why take the risk you end up with a crap one like we have. If there is a process to move our case to one of the 5 star heroes then let us all know when we sign up please. We getting sick of the constantly copied an paste end of day replies we get with no information whatsoever as to why we are almost on 5 months and still no end date in site. It's starting to feel like they are intentionally dragging the process out in the hope the chains collapse. This process is a learning curve for us and one that has highlighted the reason why you should shop local for you solicitor. We still don't know why our estate agent would recommend this company as it does not bode well for their review either. 5 STAR or 1 STAR roll your dice or go elsewhere.

The worst!
The worst! We bought a house as first time buyers and we’re recommended this company so we stupidly agreed. The lack of consistency within case handlers is astounding, being passed from one to another, we sent emails of important documents to one to then have them say they aren’t part of our file. The communication is atrocious. We are at the bottom of a very large chain, we don’t have to sell anything and yet the chain has been awaiting months for us to complete. We finally get an exchange date and it is pushed back from lack of communication between case handlers. Evidence that has already been given has been asked for yet again which delays completion. And overall we were charged £2.5k when others quoted us 1.3.-1.6k. I warn you DO NOT use this company. There was NO support, difficult to get in contact with those people we needed to contact. We did not even speak to our main case handler over the phone until 4 months in. This company has caused us a lot of unnecessary stress, we felt like we have had to babysit them every step of the way, calling daily for at least a shred of an update on what is happening. We get promised that the documents we sign and send are final and then the next day we have another set of ‘final documents

8 months from offer accepted to completion
I would not use Conveyancing Direct again. They never seemed to attach any importance to our transaction. When I called a week after we'd accepted an offer nothing had been done. I paid money to Conveyancing Direct and 10 days later was asked to pay the same fee again. The solicitor didn't understand a question from our buyer's solicitor but didn't appear to be doing anything to try and understand it. It wasn't until we started calling the solicitor on a regular basis that things seemed to start getting followed up and actioned. It took 8 months from accepting the offer to completion which even taking COVID-19 restrictions into account I feel is excessive.

Totally disappointed with the overall…
Totally disappointed with the overall service i have received. Everything seemed to be going well then its been down hill for about 6 weeks now. Very disappointed. It cant get any worse than this. Was quite surprised with all the positive reviews but then possibly they have been lucky and had a good experience. Both the sellers solicitors and the estate agent have chased up and still nothing. Thinking of launching an official complaint now. Absolute shambles. Update: 7th Dec( over 3 weeks from earlier post) and still at the same point. Being tossed around. Still none the wiser of what is outstanding. When you push and push you receive an email at the end of the day when the solicitor is off the day after, but the email doesn't say much. Same old previous stuff being recycled. Is it difficult to get an update of what is outstanding? Is it a mystery? I dont think this company even cares about their reviews or reputation. Please i can relate to all the 1 star reviews on here. Run 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️. As some one said on one of the reviews do you want to through a dice? You use them at your own perul. A 1star or a 5 star. Nothing inbetween. Still very surprised at the 5star reviews here. Just wish this nightmare will be over. I am at the bottom of the chain and everyone else is frustrated.

Amazing service from Hayley and Conveyancing Direct!
We have recently bought our first home and used Conveyancing Direct as they were coming out the cheapest around. Hayley Tyler looked after us and was amazing the whole way through. Hayley always kept us up to date with what was going on, always replied quickly and was so helpful and supportive through the whole process. I am very pleased with the service I received from Conveyancing Direct. Efficient, friendly, competent, trustworthy, good on time delivery of completion of both sale and purchase properties. Made the process a pleasure rather than a stress! I highly recommend this company. I had never sold a property before and they helped me through each step and I felt totally safe with them. they are also better value than the solicitors I used before to buy property and more efficient.
