Our experience with Conveyancing Direct was a total letdown. It felt like we were completely in the dark, especially as first-time buyers, thanks to their lousy communication. Going through the complaints process, we were constantly brushed off, pretty much putting all of the blame on us for not magically understanding a process we hired them to guide us through. One of the most frustrating things was receving all of the crucial documents we needed, including the fixture and fittings form, DAYS before exchanging. Most of these documents were dated four months prior to this but apparently that's completely normal to be unaware of the details of the house you are buying until it's too late? I know solicitors are typically slow and require you to chase a lot, but when the company are failing to reply to complaints within their own 'prescribed time frame', you know something is wrong. And when they eventually did, they managed to send it to the wrong email addresses entirely - superb attention to detail. If you are purchasing through Connells and have been connected to this company, don't do it. Just Google a well-reviewed local solicitors and use them. Our sellers were also using Conveyancing Direct and we thought it would make the whole process smoother, but I don't think they were handled by the same office, let alone the same team/person. And if they were, I have absolutely no idea how they can manage it so poorly as the reason we were forced to exchange so quickly at the end of the process was due to how frustrated the seller was with them too. There's plenty more we could mention, but in short: avoid them at all costs. The endless bad reviews speak for themselves.

Wow! Amazing service from Kyle.S, my conveyancer. As a first-time buyer, I was extremely nervous about the process, but with Kyle's help and patience, we managed to go from submitting an offer to moving into our new house in less than 9 weeks. I can't thank the whole team at Conveyancing Direct enough for making the process as easy, quick, and least stressful as possible. I won't be going anywhere else for any future house moves, and I will make sure all my family and friends know about them.

Simranjit Singh was the property lawyer who dealt with my sale and purchase, and did a fantastic job. Kept me updated throughout, always available, navigated issues with ease and always worked to push to exchange as quickly as possible which is what we needed! and had a team behind him to keep things going whenever on leave. Couldn't recommend enough.

We were purchasing a single garage and took the vendors estate agents recommendation to use CDPL. We were told that they operated entirely online and that we would be sent a link to a portal where we could download and update the relevant documentation. We were constantly told that a link had been issued, despite me sending emails reporting that we had not received a link. Eventually I asked for a complaint form. This resulted in a call from their admin team to tell me that their system does not recognise iCloud email addresses. So if you have an iPhone you are going to struggle. It took five months to complete the purchase. There was no proactive action taken by CDPL. I had to chase every action. The final bill was higher than the cost of buying my home, thankfully with a different company. In summary we paid for a bespoke service and received a pretty basic and poorly advised one. We even had to correct them when they tried to charge us for notifying HMRC, when this was not needed. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I can't rate Stephanie Williams at CDPL highly enough, the first solicitor I was allocated seemed very slow and difficult to communicate with but as soon as Stephanie took over things improved dramatically, unfortunately the sellers solicitors were not so great which dragged the whole process out over 6 months, I'm a first time buyer so expected a 8-12 week turnaround. When the sellers solicitors were being slow Stephanie intervened a few times to ensure a quicker response, even doing their job for them in some instances, and often working long hours to make sure tho job gets done. Thorough, diligent and always prompt in communication. 👌
