Excellent service

Regular, informed and timely updates on progress of both our sale and purchase. Excellent support and accessibility provided by our conveyancing solicitor Tom Mclaren-Roberts.

Terrible company, shocking communication

Our experience with Conveyancing Direct was a total letdown. It felt like we were completely in the dark, especially as first-time buyers, thanks to their lousy communication. Going through the complaints process, we were constantly brushed off, pretty much putting all of the blame on us for not magically understanding a process we hired them to guide us through. One of the most frustrating things was receving all of the crucial documents we needed, including the fixture and fittings form, DAYS before exchanging. Most of these documents were dated four months prior to this but apparently that's completely normal to be unaware of the details of the house you are buying until it's too late? I know solicitors are typically slow and require you to chase a lot, but when the company are failing to reply to complaints within their own 'prescribed time frame', you know something is wrong. And when they eventually did, they managed to send it to the wrong email addresses entirely - superb attention to detail. If you are purchasing through Connells and have been connected to this company, don't do it. Just Google a well-reviewed local solicitors and use them. Our sellers were also using Conveyancing Direct and we thought it would make the whole process smoother, but I don't think they were handled by the same office, let alone the same team/person. And if they were, I have absolutely no idea how they can manage it so poorly as the reason we were forced to exchange so quickly at the end of the process was due to how frustrated the seller was with them too. There's plenty more we could mention, but in short: avoid them at all costs. The endless bad reviews speak for themselves.

I have to say my experience with…

I have to say my experience with Coveyancing Direct has been one of the worst in my life to date its your job to know the legalities with regards to my property the only thing i should have information about is the fixtures and fitting and the relevant guarantee's if they are available you do not provide a free service you are being paid and therefore i am your customer and should be treated as such not be made to feel that the reason that process is delayed because i don't have answer's to certain legal questions that is why we pay to when we want to buy and sell are homes saying and i quote you don't know a lot about you property that's why the process is delayed is blaming your customer would a mechanic say to a car owner you don't know much about your car that is why there is a delay in my fixing your car would a customer accept that as a response also you have to understand the sale of a property through a particular estate agency is time sensitive a period of six months and then seller can take their business elsewhere

Leah and Victoria

I had Leah as my solicitor, she was very informative and communication was good. The process did take longer than expected but any queries were answered in detail so I understood the reasons why. Victoria covered in Leah's absence - both were very quick to respond. Although it sometimes felt like things were taking forever, Victoria was always on the other end of the phone/email to let me know where we were with each step of the process. I was happy with the service provided and will use conveyancing direct in the future (providing Leah is my solicitor)!

Think the slowest conveyancing possible - and then add 1000% more slowness to get how slow this firm is

If this organisation is any part of your sale or purchase chain avoid - they are the definition of you get what you pay for. Nothing is done with care or quality and timeliness and communication is not avoid a priority to them.

Great service and communication

Although the process took longer than expected, mainly due to land registry delays, Kyle S kept us informed what was happening and always replied very promptly.

The sale of our property was long and…

The sale of our property was long and quite complex with the first sale falling through. Our conveyancer Delyth Thomas was easy to talk to and kept us calm all the way through. She informed us about delays and problems in plain English which we appreciated, she even helped us with technical issues allowing our granddaughter to email documents over to her on our behalf. Our purchase was straight foreword handled well and quickly by Delyth, we would definitely recommend the company to our friends and family a big thank you to Delyth and all the team

Helen looked after us really well

Helen looked after us really well! Kept us informed at each stage of the process. Helpful, patient and kind with the myriad of forms that needed completing. Took ownership of chasing blocks without us having to get involved. A good experience!

I feel it necessary to put into words…poor quality of service

I feel it necessary to put into words the level of poor service this company and staff have provided over the course of our sale and purchase. Over the period of conveyancing we had 4 different team members dealing with our file. This incurred lost notes, unsent contracts for signature and at the point of completion the failed to prearrange the transfer of funds resulting in a lot of stress and anxiety with the funds finally being completed at 5:25pm just before the banks closed. This would have rendered us homeless until the next opportunity to transfer funds. Truly awful experience and usually unable to get hold of anyone by phone to discuss issues or delays. My advice would be stay local and use a conveyancing team in your local area.

I can honestly say that I had a really good service from both the solicitor and all of her associates at Conveyancing Direct. I would highly recommend this company to everyone. My solicitor had the patience and understanding to listen to all of my queries concerning my recent house move. And she explained everything clearly.
