Terrible company, shocking communication

Our experience with Conveyancing Direct was a total letdown. It felt like we were completely in the dark, especially as first-time buyers, thanks to their lousy communication. Going through the complaints process, we were constantly brushed off, pretty much putting all of the blame on us for not magically understanding a process we hired them to guide us through. One of the most frustrating things was receving all of the crucial documents we needed, including the fixture and fittings form, DAYS before exchanging. Most of these documents were dated four months prior to this but apparently that's completely normal to be unaware of the details of the house you are buying until it's too late? I know solicitors are typically slow and require you to chase a lot, but when the company are failing to reply to complaints within their own 'prescribed time frame', you know something is wrong. And when they eventually did, they managed to send it to the wrong email addresses entirely - superb attention to detail. If you are purchasing through Connells and have been connected to this company, don't do it. Just Google a well-reviewed local solicitors and use them. Our sellers were also using Conveyancing Direct and we thought it would make the whole process smoother, but I don't think they were handled by the same office, let alone the same team/person. And if they were, I have absolutely no idea how they can manage it so poorly as the reason we were forced to exchange so quickly at the end of the process was due to how frustrated the seller was with them too. There's plenty more we could mention, but in short: avoid them at all costs. The endless bad reviews speak for themselves.

Emily was fantastic with my move

Emily was fantastic with my move, got it through and completed much quicker than I was expecting and she was really helpful and knowledgeable whenever I had a question which was a massive comfort as a first time buyer. Her excellent approach and professionalism made the whole process really stress free and I would recommend her wholeheartedly!

Terrible, do not use

We decided to go with this solicitors as they were part of the same company as our estate agent. From the beginning it was really difficult to contact the person responsible. We lost our buyer for unknown reasons and when we found another buyer the solicitors were even worse. We were assigned to one solicitor, then this solicitor left and we were never notified and we had no idea who took over the case. The solicitor sent requests to the wrong council, I told the manager about this and he said it was not true (I have confirmation from the other councils about the solicitor requesting the information) so the manager was not being truthful, wasting a whole month in the process, so something that started in May, we only completed last week (October). All the information required from the council was requested by me, all the chasing and getting information from different sources was done BY ME and to this day I have never spoken to the solicitor assigned to me by phone as he never returned my calls. He decided to request the funds for my purchase when the paperwork was not ready to proceed, causing my sellers to organise moving arrangements and therefore loose the money on this when the completion did not take place. This also required for the funds to be returned to the bank, to then request them again when completion was ready. When I asked WHY the funds were requested on the first place if we were not ready and I did NOT give my approval, the answer from the member of staff was "I do not know the answer, he did not leave any notes" as he was on holiday. I requested her to leave a note for him to ring me first thing in the morning once he was back to discuss this and he never did. Absolutely terrible service, I would NOT RECOMMEND this company. Shockingly after all this, and while doing the work for them, they charged me full price.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE - The process of buying a house through this company was the most stressful experience. We worked with 2 conveyancers Robert & Christina and neither of them seemed sure of what they were doing. Robert was telling us for 2 months that we needed a certain document, only 2 find out after 2 months of chasing the seller and their solicitor it was never needed in the first place! He rarely replied to emails, Christina was rude in the way she emailed and no one seemed to work with even a tiny bit of urgency! Finally in our home now but we would NEVER use this company again! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Nightmare company

The WORST I have ever dealt with!!! Zero for customer service Zero communication Zero commitment Zero updates Zero ‘f’ given if you try to chase things up Complete lack of respect for customer If you wish to loose your sale or purchase- go ahead with them! Oh and try finding out what on earth are you paying their fees for because it certainly is for being on holiday and not reading your emails that is for sure

Don’t legally own my own home

After 18 months since completion only now finding out due to trying to sell that I still don’t legally own my home and can’t sell it due to the post completion paperwork either not sent to land registry or land registry has an issue with it original case handler has left the company now my calls are being ignored

Conveyencing Direct in Hastings

I used Conveyencing Direct in Hastings, they were suggested to me by Bairstow Eves Estate Agents. I would NOT recommend Conveyencing Direct. I found them rude, extremely unhelpful and very insensitive to my circumstances. I was left a voicemail in error by a member of the Management Team which was derogatory and insulting. The poor management is obviously reflected in the poor staff. They then had the audacity to charge me full price for their poor services. This would never have been a issue if the service was good. AVOID them at all costs.

WHAT AN AWFUL COMPANY

WHAT AN AWFUL COMPANY - like someone said earlier in the other reviews, AVOID Like the plague. Refused to certify a office copy of a POA that clearly the Office of the public guardian stated holded as much weight, not willing to listen not willing to do anything Incredbilly slow in all areas, merevile was my spoc, useless is not the word! not interested whatsoever
