AVOID COLLINGWOOD AT ALL COSTS! Take into consideration all negative reviews and don’t overlook it like I did!!! Before purchasing I called them to double check everything and was mislead over the phone, which made me go for the worse option. I misunderstood the fine prints because they were not clearly written, and are also misleading. Not to mention the spelling mistakes over the emails exchanged. I purchased learner insurance for a set amount of months, passed my driving test before the policy ended and they are refusing to refund the money for the months I will not use the learner insurance (which I have no option but to cancel). I’ve lost £160. They are claiming I never spoke to one of their agents which is a lie. Why would I have bought a policy over others without having spoken to anyone? Do not recommend them in the slightest! Go for reputable insurance companies instead, cheap becomes costly and it’s not worth it! Regardless of policy you go for its clear that you will be at loss!

Beware of 'Hidden' Costs

Took out learner driver insurance on behalf of my daughter. When I cancelled the policy (that most people are likely to do with this kind of insurance) I was charged a £40 cancellation fee. Although it's in their T&Cs, it's not something that I recall being highlighted when buying the policy. Also, there was no insurance premium refund - you get nothing back after 9 months on an annual policy. Their intermediary fees also appear to be a bit on the high side. Although they respond very promptly to emails, they need to pay more attention to the content of what they write / cut and paste. For instance, it's rather annoying to be advised that the outstanding amount can by paid by logging into your account only to discover that said account has been placed on hold and therefore inaccessible. On the plus side, their website is well designed and easy to navigate.

Such a scrap

Guys, don't get this insurance; you'll be trapped! They cancelled my insurance, which I had paid for the entire year, and I am still on an early cancellation fee after passing my test!! Such a scrap.

Today we had call collingwood insurance…

Today we had call collingwood insurance ,we have been speaking with Mr Micheal Gilmore, he gave us fantastic advice and did everything as fast as I needed, massive help because I had a short time and he can manage everything well. I’m so happy great experience.

Took my insurance out on the 10th of…

Took my insurance out on the 10th of may 2022 when I passed my test and what a lovely insurance company so lovely to talk to so trustworthy very good communication and good with any questions you had definitely would recommend there was this one lady I would speak to mostly if I had any enquiries etc, it was like I’ve known her all my life she was the best and I will defo miss speaking to her she was lovely thank you for my time with you I’ve enjoyed it!☺️☺️☺️ From Molly x

£40 cancellation fee scam

I thought the policy was good until my son passed his test and you need to pay £40 to cancel and there’s no way around it. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Beware of stealth charges!

Beware of stealth charges! Wish I had read reviews before taking out the policy. My daughter passed her test during the 12 month period of cover so had 5 months remaining. When I rang to cancel the policy I was told that there was a fee to pay as the balance didn't cover it! When I said I just won't cancel the policy I was told that wasn't possible either. Had recommended them to friends, wish I hadn't now. Appreciate this is probably squirrelled away in some Ts & Cs but I definitely feel this is something that should have been made clear when pressing 'go' on the policy.
