One to avoid as mis sold

I stayed in the Clayton in cardiff with my wife and son and booked 2 executive rooms. I was given rooms 922 and 925 not executive rooms as these were on the 10th floor. So conned. The corridor had a horrible smell the rooms were dirty and dark the bed very small more like a large single and the bed and chairs very worn One room looked at a wall the other had a small window in the corner. The bathroom was clean but in need of replacement very tatty. The bar and restaurant were much better but expensive I booked a drinks package but was told in company this could not be the case as it was only for special occasions quite embarrassing the reception apologised and told me this was wrong and refunded me for it. I am left feeling disappointed and conned. My recommendation is stay somewhere else.

Friendly staff

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comfortable Stay in a Great Location Stayed at Clayton Hotel recently my room was clean, and the bed was ok . Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location near the city centre. Only downside was a bit of a wait at check-in and breakfast.

Rooms very dated

Rooms very dated. Television didn’t work 3 x attempts by staff to get it working. Offered a change of room at 11:45pm πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ can’t remember when I stayed in a hotel with a shower over the bath and a shower curtain πŸ˜‚ but staff very friendly and professional. Restaurant staff lovely no complaints. Hotel needs a refurb. But very clean so cleaning staff doing a good job. No complaints with staff but defo needs to be upgraded better hotels in the area. delta, tribe x

Daylight robbery

I booked a room with Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane, and they cancelled it almost immediately after I paid. I never received a refund, despite emailing them for weeks with no response. Eventually, I had to dispute the charge through Revolut and got my money back β€” only for Clayton Hotels to dispute the refund and take the money back again, even though I never stayed there and they provided no service whatsoever. This is completely unacceptable and feels like theft, plain and simple. Avoid this hotel group at all costs β€” unresponsive, unprofessional, and clearly have no issue keeping your money without delivering anything in return.

Beautiful hotel with a fantastic…

Beautiful hotel with a fantastic welcome from Karen @ Clayton Hotel Manchester. From stepping through the door as a hen party, no judgements just a great welcome and check in process. The hotel location was perfect and we didn't need to use taxis once! So close to the Gay village on Canal Street but also within easy walking distance of highstreet shops and loads of pubs and restaurants. The rooms were spotless and spacious, with a lovely big TV on the wall, plenty of storage and tea and coffee facilities. We had 4 rooms booked and all 10 guests said they would stay again if in Manchester. Thank you for looking after us and enhancing our visit.

Superlative

Clayton hotel Galway. This review is well overdue. Have stayed in the Clayton on numerous occasions, simply because it is the best hotel in Galway. From the moment upon arrival the staff are amongst the most friendly and helpful that I have experienced . I want to pay special compliments to Brian in reservations, Maila and Fiona in reception and Lorraine and joe in the breakfast room. The customer service was above standard and any time if assistance was required even late at night, a member of staff was always willing to help.Rooms were extremely comfortable and spotless with great views. Food was top notch. Would have no hesitation in recommending the Clayton in Galway. Maura T.

We arrived 29/07/23 for 2 nights

We arrived 29/07/23 for 2 nights, parking was accessible especially for a city hotel, then we booked in n our room was ready it was fabulous and spotless with a beautiful view of the river Shannon. Breakfast and dinners were excellent I want to say a special mention to Kyle in the bar such a gentleman and excellent in his role, and to Declan at reception you are a joy to be greeted by you on arrival, overall we ll be back again thank you all for everything 😊 Doreen

Very disappointed

Very disappointed. Over all unclean Clayton Belfast. Bathroom had mold around bath and shower curtain had brown stains. One of the towels had old blood stain Pool was freezing and was not told till last day thermostat was broken Breakfast definitely not worth 20 pounds per guest

Review on Food and Room - Clayton Hotel

ROOM: I got the Room I requested - very quiet. No Fridge in Room - very disappointed. TV: poor signals. Room unclean - Marks on carpets and walls (even though, a new Hotel). FOOD: One word - APPALLING! Ordered Fish and Chip, mushy peas - Β£19 (approx). Fish was uncooked, white, watery and cold. Chips were burnt and tasted like they had been reheated in a Microwave. Mushy peas, watery and tasteless. I could not eat this meal - it was disgusting! Unfortunately, I had already paid for this meal. I should have asked for a refund, but didn't. Very poor Service from Wating Staff - not interested no communication and very un-professional. On check-out, I informed the Receptionist, she said she was going to pass on these comments to the Kitchen staff / Chef?? This is an accurate and truthful account of my experience at this Hotel. I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Overall Very Good

I decided to stay here while out with friends in Leeds as a cheaper alternative to other hotels when out with the wife. Overall, I can say I have not had a bad experience, and I have been visiting this hotel in Leeds for over 6 years on and off. Car parks can be a bit hit-and-miss, but that's just down to people's ways of parking.

Nice meal , garbage service, packed tooth paste in check baggage, went to reception and asked for toothpaste and was told to use the paid for dispenser. Joke Next time I’ll book I’m a proper hotel

Aweful Ordered beer battered fish and chips long wait chips cold Had to ask Micheal for knife and fork No salt arrived When it did thilty dirty salt pot discusting Had a 2nd guiness and he took my old glass and filled it totally disgusting bar

Absolute Garbage Paying €200 per night, no room service. Bar food Garbage, not allowed to say what it's really like Overall overpriced garbage.... Avoid. Better off at local B&B RIP OFF ACROSS THE BOARD

Stayed Easter Sunday as a treat 😫

Clayton leopardstown Stayed Easter Sunday as a treat 😫 Bar food and service disgraceful, when food arrived I had to go to the bar to ask for serviettes and cutlery after sitting waiting while food was going cold. Dirty dishes and glass sat on table for over an hour despite staff walking by empty handed numerous times. Breakfast had grown men sitting in Pyjamas!! Unhygienic and unacceptable in a 4 star ⭐️ hotel Over cooked eggs , dried up pudding, salty soda bread and had to ask numerous times for cups
