One to avoid as mis sold

I stayed in the Clayton in cardiff with my wife and son and booked 2 executive rooms. I was given rooms 922 and 925 not executive rooms as these were on the 10th floor. So conned. The corridor had a horrible smell the rooms were dirty and dark the bed very small more like a large single and the bed and chairs very worn One room looked at a wall the other had a small window in the corner. The bathroom was clean but in need of replacement very tatty. The bar and restaurant were much better but expensive I booked a drinks package but was told in company this could not be the case as it was only for special occasions quite embarrassing the reception apologised and told me this was wrong and refunded me for it. I am left feeling disappointed and conned. My recommendation is stay somewhere else.

Friendly staff

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comfortable Stay in a Great Location Stayed at Clayton Hotel recently my room was clean, and the bed was ok . Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location near the city centre. Only downside was a bit of a wait at check-in and breakfast.

Rooms very dated

Rooms very dated. Television didn’t work 3 x attempts by staff to get it working. Offered a change of room at 11:45pm πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ can’t remember when I stayed in a hotel with a shower over the bath and a shower curtain πŸ˜‚ but staff very friendly and professional. Restaurant staff lovely no complaints. Hotel needs a refurb. But very clean so cleaning staff doing a good job. No complaints with staff but defo needs to be upgraded better hotels in the area. delta, tribe x

Daylight robbery

I booked a room with Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane, and they cancelled it almost immediately after I paid. I never received a refund, despite emailing them for weeks with no response. Eventually, I had to dispute the charge through Revolut and got my money back β€” only for Clayton Hotels to dispute the refund and take the money back again, even though I never stayed there and they provided no service whatsoever. This is completely unacceptable and feels like theft, plain and simple. Avoid this hotel group at all costs β€” unresponsive, unprofessional, and clearly have no issue keeping your money without delivering anything in return.

Charged twice, no apologies

I stayed at new Manchester hotel. The rooms are ok. Nothing particular stands out about them. I had extend the stay by 2 nights which i did on a broker website. The hotel then somehow got my card details and decided to take the room fees again. I got the money back after a series of its not our fault conversations with reception. No apologies and the refund came through 3 days lafer. It ruined the stay which became about what i could afford instead of enjoying it. Won't go to another one.

A bad memory

I am sorry to give one start review. I was in London and stayed at Clayton hotel Chiswick for 3 nights. The room was very cold from the knees down. My daughter 9 months old stayed with me. She had a baby bed provided from the hotel. No blankets or duvet. She had to sleep with her outside suit to keep warm in the night. If that is the way you want to treat infants please note it so people with infants can go somewhere else. I talked to the staff and the manager of the evening was rude and tried to get me to slip and say something wrong and be satisfied with nothing. He did not listen and was really not bothered. I wrote a formal complaint 17th of January 2024 but received no answer. I followed up on the complaint 2 times, once by phone and once by email. And I have still not received an answer. This is reason for my review. Mistakes can happen, but I find it unacceptable that no one cares to answer a formal complaint AND follow ups. I can not recommend Clayton hotel Chiswick.

Clayton Hotel

Clayton Hotel, Leeds. Photos do not lie! The spaces we occupied were spotless – clean, spacious, modern decor/fittings, well finished/equipped and beautifully lit. Staff are on point, ready and attentive. Restaurant is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. – menu offers something for everyone at great value – my food intolerances weren't a problem. Lots of attention to detail. Return visitor here. All the stars :) Absolutely recommended

I stayed in Clayton Liffey valley in Dublin and the staff was absolutely amazing and helpful, I needed help with the food options and Roxana from reception helped me. Best experience ever! Very nice and helpful staff!

Friendly and chilled

With reference to clayton hotel liffey valley Dublin. I am a regular user of this hotel. I don't normally write reviews but I feel the need to on this occasion. I have always been made to feel welcome here by all members of staff are friendly and courteous. A particular member of staff the wonderful Roxana on the reception team is an outstanding member staff going above and beyond to make me welcome and relaxed always bubbly and happy. First class

A REALLY ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE

Wasn't expecting much from the restaurant however the food was good and the service from Maria & Danny made the experience very enjoyable Emily on reception was also extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble Only downside is they have started to remove the small table from the rooms and no longer do complementary water and biscuits

Customer Service

A big thank you 10/10 to the night staff & concierge/ security upon our late arrival on 24th Feb. Not sure about the breakfast staff ( in charge?)who booked us in at the restaurant reception desk on the morning of Sunday 25/2 we booked in for breakfast & found a spare table he came over and told us abruptly we're can't sit in that area. I noted guests were already seated & tables were available, his attitude was abrupt & rude! Training course required!
