It was very easy to use Centauro, which I and my familiy has done for more than 15 years. During the last two years the service has overall developed and the price for full cover insurance.
Centauro Rent a Car has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.

Horrible experience. The only way to get there from Madrid airport is with a shuttle( badly organized) and once we got there we had to wait hours in the sun in the queue.
una stella perchè meno non si può. sono imbarazzanti, servizio clienti ridicolo. Effettuato prenotazione online pagamento andato a buon fine ma la prenotazione no, quindi mi trovo ad aver pagato ma no ho nessun numero di prenotazione in mano. per fare reclamo devi compilare un form dove il numero di prenotazione è obbligatorio. ho doovuto contestare il pagamento al servizio clienti della mia carta di credito. Evitate questa società come la peste.
Finger weg! Bei Abholung des Autos war viel los und die Mitarbeiter dementsprechend kurz angebunden und unfreundlich. Von anderen Autovermietungen bin ich es gewohnt, gemeinsam mit einem Mitarbeiter das Auto in Empfang zu nehmen. Inkl. Erklärung und evtl. Dokumentation von bereits erfolgten Schäden. Ich bekam lediglich den Schlüssel auf den Tresen geknallt und musste das Auto selbst suchen. Bei der Abgabe dann die Abzocke: Mir wurde ein Schaden abgedichtet, den ich nicht verursacht habe. Und da ich leider keine Beweisfotos gemacht habe, wurden 270€ einbehalten. Das Personal, ebenfalls wieder kurz angebunden und unfreundlich, lies sich auf keine Diskussion ein. Nicht einmal ein Schadensbericht wurde mir ausgestellt. Nun hoffe ich auf Check24 und den Premiumschutz, um die Kosten zurück zu erhalten. Wie bereits in vorherigen Rezensionen geschrieben: Centauro lockt mit günstigen Angeboten und verdient am Ende mit solchen Methoden. Nie wieder Centauro. Einen Stern gibt es lediglich für die Nähe zum Flughafen und den Shuttleservice.

Easy booking helpful reception and easy pickup always get new vehicles and I always book a SUV due to mobility issues which I have been more than happy with in the past unfortunately this time I was provided with a crossover type vehicle not a SUV which caused problems for me getting into and out of the car because of the very small door aperture .
Te cobran seguros adicionales que no necesitas. Tratan de sacarte plata de donde sea. Me sorprendieron y me cobraron seguros del vehiculo a pesar de tener uno ya reservado. Eso denota aprovechamiento del cliente en beneficio de ellos. Centauro NUNCA MÁS
We booked a weeks hire through Holiday Extras, and then read the reviews. We arrived in Corfu about fifteen minutes before we were due to arrive and had to wait for over an hour to be picked up. I had to call them twice! When the driver did eventually turn up he was rude, almost aggressive and tried to tell us we didn't put our flight details on our booking - all untrue! Another couple then got in the pickup vehicle and he tried to say the same thing at which point the guy got out his printed booking and said "yes we did". The driver went very quiet then! After a very short drive to collect the car we found ourselves in a very "professional" looking car rental office. When we walked in there was one couple arguing with one of the chaps and after they'd sorted out what they needed they said to those of us waiting - "Take you chances with this company, they left us stranded at the airport over night and are a sham"! Gulp... Then another couple who were sorting out their hire could be heard saying it was "a scam" and they stepped back to go through their hire contract in fine detail! Then it was our turn. The lady was very efficient and had all our details and said we had been upgraded to a different car. Nice touch! However, we then got the sales pitch about their excess being €1100 if you didn't take out their insurance at €45 per day. We had already found our own insurance in the UK for £25 for the whole trip. We then got the doom and gloom speech saying it wouldn't pay etc etc. We have had the unfortunate experience of an accident in a hire car before and they did pay out - within a week of us putting in the claim, so please do think about that option. The weirdest thing is you get NO vehicle report to check before you take it out on hire, you have to take a video of the vehicle and check it yourself. Also, they get you to sign an electronic document that they email you first - so if you don't have a mobile signal be wary. They did print if off for us... In Greek! Other point to note is our booking said fuel was "full to full". We had to pay just over €80 for the fuel that they then refund when you return the vehicle (if it is full). On collection our car was only about 80% full so we had to return it at that. On return they did refund the €80 but if course with exchange rates etc we lost about £5. It was a really stressful experience, but our return was very easy, quick and almost pleasant. Would I use them again - I can't say for definite but wouldn't rule them out completely.
Omdat de verstrekte documenten niet voldeden aan de eisen van de leverancier. Dus mensen zet altijd je volledige naam op de documenten, dit hadden wij dus niet gedaan. Volledige voornamen en achternaam!!! We zouden eerst 140€ betalen en zijn nu 410€ kwijt voor 10 dagen. Achteraf wel een domper, maar dit mocht onze vakantiepret gelukkig niet bederven. We kregen uiteindelijk een bijna nieuwe Panda mee.
As usual, the agent in Alicante, was trained to "serve" us the full protection insurance. I didn't want that, I litterally said "just the standard is ok", but this was interpreted by him as "full protection", as it turned out afterwards.
We go to Spain regularly and always use Centauro now, they are quick and efficient. They look after us if there is any issues.
