Went on the Folkestone, Bruges & Canterbury trip. First there was a mix up of the drivers which eventually got sorted, the stops were very good al though only one at Gretna Green on the way down. The hotel was dire, desperately in need of an update, food was mediocre at best. Staff were nice and helpful. We only had 1 hour & 40 mins in Bruges so that is a wasted trip. Wouldn’t do a long trip again. Also check your hotel reviews as they don’t always use ‘nice’ ones.
Not getting a full refund, that is stealing. Nothing else but " STEALING ".
I disliked that I have booked three holidays, paid fully for two and had my seat changed for the August holiday. Surely booking well in advance, which I have to do for a single room, ensures me the seat that I have paid for.

I’d like to begin this review on a positive note by commending our driver, Duncan. He was by far the best driver I’ve had on any Caledonian Travel trip. Duncan was friendly, communicative, and kept us well informed about the itinerary throughout the journey. His professionalism and warm demeanor certainly deserve a five-star rating. As for the main destination, Alton Towers itself was fantastic and lived up to expectations. However, the accommodation provided the Belvilla Crewe City Centre Hotel was a major disappointment and the primary reason for this one-star review. The hotel appeared to be in serious need of a deep clean, with overall hygiene standards well below acceptable. There was no air conditioning, which made the stay extremely uncomfortable during a heatwave. Communication with the staff was also difficult, as many appeared to have limited English language skills. Based on the poor condition of the rooms, we chose not to risk eating the meals provided. The presence of numerous rat traps around the property was particularly unsettling and reinforced our concerns about cleanliness. I encourage anyone considering this trip to search online reviews of this hotel before booking. This experience has unfortunately put me off booking with Caledonian Travel in the future. In the past, accommodations such as Holiday Inn were standard—clean, reliable, and comfortable. It’s disappointing to see such a decline in quality, and I question the decision making behind selecting this hotel. A real shame, as the trip had great potential.
I booked a break to Torquay for my partner and me. The journey down and back was horrendous tried 3 times to book online gave up and rung Caledonian to be told the coach was full. 2 days later the same trip was on the Internet. Tried again could not book again. Rang Caledonian again was told there were spare seats so I booked it. We always book the trips where Wakefield is last pick up and first drop off. I was not told that this trip also called at Barnsley and Rotherham. If I had been told this I would not have booked. The Hotel and destination were perfect but we decided not to go on the excursions as we were reluctant to spend any more time sitting on a coach. We have been on many Caledonian breaks and have had no cause to complain before but we are now considering not going on any more
The hotel was described as a short stroll from the beach when in fact was upon East Cliff. A very steep incline to the beach along the road. Taking 30 minutes to walk there. Not suitable unless you are fit and able. The landscape grounds were a small garden in need of some attention strewn with cigarette ends and insufficient seating. Hotel and room clean.
