I have had an outstanding complaint unresloved since November 2024

I have had an outstanding complaint since November 2024. In the 1 year 1 was issued with two very large bills over 1k each time (I live in a 1 bed apartment and work in the office for reference) so this just did not make sense to me. The issue is still on going, that bill was suppose to be frozen until the issue was resolved but as of last week I am now down 1k as the amount was taken from my bank. I have found it very difficult or at all possible to get updates on this situation from the complaint team. the Customer service operators have tired their best to help but as there is no direct contact to the complaint team this issue is just causing unnecessary stress and anxiety.

Boiler Service

Paid for a discounted boiler service and surprise, surprise i needed a repair and part which cost another 165 euro.. Sourced the part online for 25 euro...i was charged 75 euro and to fix was literally 20 seconds to unplug fitting and fit again. Will never use them again and advise everyone to keep well clear.

I would advise anyone to stay miles…

I would advise anyone to stay miles away from this company My last bill was nearly €500 as they claim I was underpaying in previous bills due to underestimating I thought the idea of smart meters was so they don’t have to estimate bills anymore I’ll moving companies as a point of urgency in the coming days as this shower are disgrace in the way they charge their customers and conduct their business in general

ROBBERS STEALING FROM THE POOR

I used to tell everyone how happy I was with Bord Gais until I moved to an apartment which had a prepaid meter. I immediately switched it to Bord Gais because I was happy with its Level Pay tariffs and especially since this new apartment has day-and-night meter reading. 4 Months after switching I received my 1st bill of €1800. How is that possible when this new apartments has a day-and-night meter and is better insulated then the previous apartment where I paid €250 p/m for my electricity and the electric heater was on basically daily. Sometimes we even forgot it on? Strangely enough, a month after I received my first bill from switching to Bord Gais and raving about them to prepaid company, the same prepaid company called me asking if I was happy about the switch. It seems like either the prepaid company did something to my meter to bring charges up this high or they are working along with Bord Gais and all other companies to FORCE customers to stay with prepaid power. AND WHO GOT PUNISHED AND HAD TO PAY THE BILL???? A HARDWORKING SINGLE MOTHER!! I hate scammers and fraudsters and MAY THIS COMPANY SOON LOOSE PROFITS AND BUSINESS FROM ROBBING PEOPLE!!!!

Don't go for level pay

I was with Bord Gais for about 4 years. I switched to level pay about 2 years in, thinking it would help with costs. My account was constantly in credit. The government credits never helped, costs went up all the time. I switched recently and received over 1000.00 euros back, that is how significant the overcharging was over a period of around 2 years. Absolutely disgraceful treatment of a customer.

Customer service

What an amazing customer service staff! I contacted customer service today and Patrick was the person who answered the phone immediately. No waiting,no delay. Patrick was extremely professional and helpful. He explained to me everything so clear and so friendly. I cannot expect more!!Thank you so much Patrick!You are amazing!

liars

liars I have been paying my neighbors' bills for 8 years because the numbers were mixed up, I paid large amounts for gas, and for about 2 months now, they have been telling me to refund the money, and they say they will refund the money next week, but they don't refund at all, I overpaid by more than 10,000 euros... Just liars...

Exceptionally customer service skills

I have been with Board Gais electricity for a little over a year now and have had little, or no issues to date, I reluctantly placed a call to Bord Gais electricity regarding my current bill which is in substantial arrears-hence my reluctance to make the call. I spoke to an agent named Liz who works in the debt department. For obvious reasons, I was anxious and concerned regarding my bill However, from the very beginning of our conversation I found Liz to be patient, understanding, empathetic regarding the reason behind the huge arrears on my bill. Thankfully, due to her exceptional communication skills Liz offered me the best possible resolution where my bill can be paid on an incremental basis at a very reasonable weekly payment. I can’t emphasise enough the relief this resolution offered by Bord Gais electricity via their agent Liz has given me. The customer agent Liz has exemplary customer service communication skills. She most definitely should be given either a promotion or a pay rise. All the very best to Liz and thanks to Bord Gais electricity for offering customers, various form of resolutions regarding electricity bills which I, for one was not aware of, I think patience, politeness from us, customers should be possibly more emphasised regarding talking to customer service agents as they to have a difficult job dealing with potentially rude and impatient customers. High estimated bills On smart meter 🤔

Receiving estimated bills eventhough I have smart meter. They tried blaming esb networks . Esb networks assured me all readings and connectivity of smart meter was perfect . Bord gais continues to give estimated bills ( extremely high estimations ) which ironically started when government gave the first 200euro grant credit 🤔
