Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals

We have been using Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals for several years. We’ve rented cabins in Boone, Seven Devils, and Banner Elk. BRMR is always prompt in sending all the information needed to prepare for our stay in advance. They are easily accessible if there is an issue or question regarding the property. All of the homes we have visited are clean, well-maintained, and accurately described on the listing.

Disliked spider infestations in all rooms. Loved the yard Disliked lighting in house... too dark Liked area attraction discounts Furniture on front porch needs replacing as splintered Pots and pans were awful, rusty and unusable. Cottage needs basic pots and pans for breakfast or easy dinners House needs a thorough cleaning! Housekeeping needs to dust and clean. Blue ridge Staff were excellent and customer service oriented. The cottage could be a fabulous small destination with upgrades.

This cabin was perfect for our group. Loved that the kids could have the entire downstairs. It was beautifully decorated and so well stocked! The view could not be beat and the communication was incredible. Love that there was no pet fee, was the primary reason we chose this cabin and so glad we did. We will definitely be back.

The constant communication made the trip more relaxing and enjoyable. Beautiful clean home and well maintained.

The rental experience was smooth and notifications throughout the rental process were helpful. Overall the property was very impressive in size and design with plenty of room and high end features. Nice location in Boone. It met my families needs well. Unfortunately the ice maker and dishwasher did work ( I was informed before arrival) and the furniture in the great room was either uncomfortable , unusable or damaged(I was told about the damage ). The refrigerator leaked water onto the kitchen floor and many work lights in kitchen didn’t operate. The switches on hood over the outside grill didn’t work and were coated in grease. Overall cleanliness was fair-good but there was overflowing smelly trash in the garage ( thanks for promptly taking care of this during our stay) and the freezer held partially eaten food from the previous renters. Id consider the property for future family gatherings if the above mentioned issues were resolved .

We enjoyed the rental property very much. The house was spacious, clean, and amenities were were sufficient. We also appreciated the notification for a possible early arrival and the discount offered for additional nights which was available to us. Unfortunately, we were not able to take advantage of that offer. The area was beautiful. We loved the deck outside with a view of Grandfather Mtn. Blue Ridge Rentals was very attentive to our needs and kept us informed updates.

Great cabin vibes! We enjoyed a peaceful stay up in the glorious mountains soaking in the hot tub while gazing at the stars. I will mention this is a cabin, so it’s all wood, so it does make some creaking noises, they all do! The location of this property is central to all other areas, easy drive into Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk! Definitely will stay again!!

Great cabin for relaxing in a secluded wooded wonderland, yet close to all downtown Boone has to offer.

This is a beautiful home with wonderful views, a convenient location to Banner Elk and is as described by BRMR. The Bedrooms with large full baths offer privacy for several couples or large families while common areas provide viewing and dining for everyone. Kitchen has everything for a quick snack to a gourmet meal for an entire family. The home was spotless! The gated community is hilly but a huge common area at the entrance offers play area for children and walking for others You won’t be disappointed by this home. Having rented thru Blue Ridge in the past this is a first class company with excellent customer service.

The first night that we got there, we couldn’t get into the house for almost 2 hours. Finally they got us into the house and we get into the house and run the air conditioner for almost 3 hours and it doesn’t cool the house off it stays 82 Inside. By the time they agreed to move us to another cabin it was thundering, lightning pouring rain, and I had to drag kids in a one-year-old out in that to move to another cabin close to midnight. Then they proceeded to tell me that I had to pay the difference in the cabins that they had to move me to completely unacceptable. Then we get to the new cabin and there is cobwebs and spiders everywhere. The house didn’t look like it. Had anybody stay in it recently. So we get everything unloaded, and everybody inside in the pouring rain. Once we get inside, the lights switches don’t work. The lights don’t work so it was almost completely dark in the living room. The back door didn’t lock. And the AC wouldn’t go below 74. I don’t know if most of you know that cabins can get kind of hot. So then we get up the next morning and around 9 AM. The power goes out. There was a power outage that lasted until almost 5:00 PM. At this point, I’m pretty much over the whole situation and just ready to go back home. My oldest son got up and he had bites all over him throughout the day. Two other kids had bites all over them. I would be walking around the house and feel like somethings biting me. Not sure if it’s bedbugs or fleas or what it was. Needless to say our experience, this time wasn’t very great. The care team did offer to take off the charges for the difference in switching from one cabin to the other, which should’ve happened regardless. My mom and dad were so disappointed that they didn’t get to come down until Saturday morning then they get there and the powers out and they went ahead and left Sunday morning instead of Monday with us just because everything that was happening. I did deal with customer care and they made the choice not to charge us for the cabin move in the difference in price, which is understandable because it wasn’t my fault. The AC went out in the other cabin. That should’ve happened anyways, but I received the email that said they were doing that as a courtesy and that after we left the cabin, there would be no additional discount given. Acting like you’re doing me a huge favor by not charging me the price difference to move me cabins that didn’t compensate for all the trouble that we went through the entire weekend. I also own a business this is completely unacceptable.

good location but definitely needs an entire update

From the moment I called the company to book our stay, to the morning we checked out, everything was wonderful. I spoke with two helpful property managers to book our rental. Everything was explained thoroughly to me. Therefore, it was easy to access the neighborhood and the home- it was dark out by the time we arrived. The home was absolutely splendid- spotless, spacious, very nicely furnished with high end furniture, linens, blankets, dishes, utensils, etc…. There was a ping pong table in the garage which was awesome! The views were beautiful, neighborhood was peaceful. There were so many activities IN the neighborhood- putt putt, a gigantic fun playground, a big flat field where the kids played football with a group that had gathered there, a quaint restaurant that also had a playing field, so the kids played with these huge inflatable tubes while we waited for our food. There were food trucks and a band on one of the evenings! The entire weekend was a dream- away from the city and spending time in the fresh air. Like being back in the 80’s!
