Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals

This house is absolutely beautiful. You can sit inside the house or on the back deck overlooking the lake is a definite plus. My husband and I have been renting this house every September for the past few years to celebrate our anniversary. We love it there. There are some upgrades that I would suggest though: replace the furniture in the sitting areas with leather furniture. With so many guests in and out, you don't have to worry about the couch sagging; holding odor or stains. Also, I think that window shades or curtains should be on every window. Let the guests at least have that option to use or not to use.

The cabin was so close to Boone, made it very easy for us to travel that weekend. The space was amazing and really liked the atmosphere, couches were super comfy and we used the bluetooth speaker inside to play music. Everything was nice and clean when we arrived and easy check-in/check-out. There was a little drop coming into the driveway so maybe some more gravel to fix that would be great, but otherwise, everything else was fantastic. We sat on the back deck for a while one afternoon enjoying all the chirps the birds had to offer. Will definitely stay here again with another large group.

The communication and response time were great! The house was convenient, well-stocked, and comfortable. It was just what we wanted!

Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals provided a great experience for a second year in a row. Always responding timely to emails and always available to answer the phone for after office calls. We happened to stay in the same gated community we stayed last year but we had problems with the gate code given to use. It never worked. We were given three different codes. The only way we were able to get through the gate was if someone who lived there pulled up behind us and when one of the property owners gave us their code to use. We shared this Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals, and they were very apologetic. I have a couple things about the house that need mentioning. Where do I make these comments?

We had the pleasure of staying at Beagle’s Rest in mid-September. This well organized home allowed us to have a peaceful vacation where everything we needed was provided. Beagle’s Rest is located in the beauty of the most gorgeous Mountain views, with tons of things to do right in the community. We loved playing mini golf, hiking, and exploring nature (including many animal sightings!). The home is very clean with all needed supplies to cook and enjoy your stay. At Beagles Rest, we loved the fire-pit, hot-tub, and game room. In the surrounding areas we loved going on an off road course, hiking local waterfalls, gem-mining, and doing the Alpine roller coaster. There is so much adventure close by! We highly recommend this home to anyone- it’s perfect for quietly enjoying mountain time or getting out and exploring! The home's interior is beautifully decorated and has multiple layers to spread out for small groups, but you can gather in the main floor for big meals or games. The beds were amazing and comfy! We can’t say enough good things about our fabulous time here and look forward to coming back again. Beagles rest is a perfect get-away space that will leave you feeling like you want more time there! The icing on the cake was that our pup was also able to join us and he had the best time too! The rental company was very responsive through-out the experience and did a great job of sending helpful messages, answering questions prior to the visit, and following up during and after to ensure our experience was wonderful! They did a great job prepping the home with supplies and it was very clean.

Overall, our vacation was pretty great. I appreciate there bring just about everything we need being there. The place was extremely dusty though and we noticed dust in the air of all the rooms. I would definitely put a couple air filters in this rental home to make the experience better. We also had 2 cars full of people come to the property looking through the windows at us and taking pictures of the mountains while chilling on the porch and taking photos of the house for like a half an hour with their dog. It was a very strange encounter and made us both feel very uncomfortable. The kitchen is nice and has most things you need to cook and clean. The best parts were location/view and the kitchen. I really loved the 1000 piece puzzle too

The home, amenities, views, quality of furnishings, linens, mattresses, etc., were all fabulous. We are a tough bunch to please. We are called the "bougie" bunch! We strive to provide our staff with first class accommodations and expect nothing less than our own homes! Boulder Creek did not disappoint! I will not count off for this, but the oven issue does need to be addressed. I believe the oven works, the door just does not close and seal completely, which shuts the burners off. I was told ahead of time to give it a shove, but that did not help. Just not what you would expect from a Viking.

Fire fly springs was amazing. House was clean and as advertised and communication and response time leading up to rental was great. Couldn’t be happier with my choice.

Excellent customer service

House was amazing. We did not want for anything. The rental company communicated well with no problems checking in or out.

The service from BRMR was wonderful. We had a small electrical problem that luckily we were there for and Trapper came right over and was wonderful to work with!! The pre-house cleaning could use a bit of work. Floors were not mopped, only swept. There was a dirty broiler pan left on the grill. Appeared to have been sat there with the intent of cleaning. And the patio furniture was not cleaned up/straightened. It was kind of spread around. Mostly just attention to detail when renting a house of this costs or any rental actually. First impressions are so important. This is our 3rd rental and will use them again next year.

We really enjoyed our stay! We were looking for a cabin where we could stay at with our dog that was close to Boone and everything else but where we could still enjoy the peace and quiet of the woods. The cabin was very clean and well maintained with everything we needed for our stay. We spent a lot of time on the rear deck and the hot tub, and we also enjoyed some cozy nights reading by the gas fireplace.

Ambience Lodge was a perfect house for our family getaway! The house is beautiful and clean. The kitchen is very well stocked. The views are amazing, and the hot tub was the biggest we’ve ever had. Also Blue Ridge Rental are amazing. We will definitely use them again.

Always the best experience with BRMR

Within 1 hour of arriving we found 1.the large main refrigerator not working, 2. No propane for the grill, 3. No chemicals in the hot tub. The fridge had a large handwritten note stuck to the door saying to use the small fridge that was added to the dining room. When I called the office to see if there was a plan to fix it, no one had any idea it was even broken so there was not plan to fix it! (We bought groceries banking on the large fridge, not the small replacement) The empty propane tank we discovered when we wanted to start dinner. That was incredibly inconvenient! So we had to use the large gas oven. Which normally would be just fine. Except the damn thing would not turn on! Over the course of the week we discovered it was just very temperamental. It only worked about 25% of the time. The lack of chemicals in the hot tub of course we discovered when someone got in. YUK! The propane tank and the chemicals are routine maintenance!! How in the world do you miss that? In addition to these 3 HUGE items, the deck had so much crap from the trees on it. OK, not a huge deal. But after staying for a week, there was no way the deck was blown or swept in a month. Again, routine maintenance. So until we swept it ourselves (and it's a big deck) we were dragging leaves and crap into the house and the hot tub (when we were finally able to use it). And then there was the door handle in the upstairs bedroom that when closed would just randomly lock. (Twice when someone was on the outside of the room) The door handle on the back door was broken. A cabinet door was hanging by 1 hinge. A dining room chair arm was broken. There were just so many little things that came up during our stay that you could tell, this house is not a home, it's definitely just a renal. And not one that is looked after very well. The only saving grace of this house were the bedrooms and bathrooms. Very large and very vice. Would we ever come back? No. My husband and I stay at a lot of vacation rentals. Either alone or with family and friends and there were too many things wrong and the first 3 were HUGE! And an incredible inconvenience for all of us.

Whispering Pines is centrally located between Boone and West Jefferson which allowed for easy access to restaurants, shopping and outdoor activities. The house offered a relaxing "rustic mountain" feeling, was very clean, and provided all of the necessary amenities. Would highly recommend this rental for a weekend getaway or family vacation.

Check in was great and easy, the cabin was clean, the hot tub was working and great! Everything was very enjoyable about our stay! You will need an SUV or 4WD to get to this cabin but we had no issues in my SUV. We went to the Land of Oz and it was a simple drive to Beech Mountain!
