I am having great difficulty trying to cancel auto-renewal of a Premium VPN subscription with Bitdefender.
Bitdefender want to renew at 100% rate when online they are advertising a 50% discount!!!
Their "Contact Us" link constantly times out.
What to do?
Had them for 5 years. The best protection, I have never had any PC issue and im online all the time. BUTTT last year, a staff use my debit card to purchase $400 of sport betting. Thank GOD my bank USAA blocked them for suspicious activity
I wont be using them anymore since they are now $80 a year and the staff are thieves and NORTON 360 has a promotion for 15usd a year... yeah no brainer
Excellent product and the Customer Care was superb
I downloaded a trial version and had some questions about how to purchase a different package. The Customer Care Chat answered all my questions. Great doing business with them. I think I will be happy with this company and all the protection they offer.
Good Product just don't expect any customer service as it doesn't exist.
****Final Update?***
After several exchanges of emails during which they continued to totally ignore my question and chose repeatedly to answer a question I had not asked because they couldn’t be bothered to answer mine, I managed to finally receive an intelligent response. Not only was that hard work, squeezing an apology took even more effort.
So once again good product but pray you don’t need help as it’s easier to get blood from a stone than to get an answer to an extremely simple question.
I’m still not decided whether they are truly ignorant, or just can’t be bothered.
***Further Update***
Due to the exchange of several emails and my repeatedly stating that my question has been ignored as they have just chosen a question that they do like and answered that, I have now asked to register a formal complaint.
I’m also supplying regular negative feedback as they asked for feedback after I first raised the issue.
I hope they both learn from this and appreciate the lesson. They really need to have a think about their “Never apologise, never explain” attitude.

I have exchanged emails with Bitdefender Customer Support.
Unfortunately, as they don't like my question they have made their own one up and have responded to that.
I am far from giving up my mission now is to obtain an answer to the question I have asked not the question they wanted me to ask.
All I want is an acknowledgement but that's not possible as they seem to think that a year only has 9 months in it.

My Bitdefender is not due to renew until 10th October 2024 but on 11th September 2024 they sent me an email telling me they were going to take a payment of £74.99 on 27th August 2025.
I raised this issue with the above open ticket number and have now just received a response.
I don't know if the response was AI generated or was given by a totally ignorant, disinterested person but my query was totally ignored and I was just give some bumf about renewals which was clearly just cut and pasted from somewhere and it seems that the person who received it just had a quick look and decided that thinking was too much effort so they decided not to.
If you want the rating on this to increase please carry out the following action: READ MY EMAIL AND RESPOND TO IT! i.e. Don't look at it,decide that an answer would require actual thought and ignore it by answering a question I did not ask.
I made a dumb mistake with my email account when my laptop had to go in for servicing, but Bitdefender's customer service told me how to fix it so that I wouldn't lose my Bitdefender subscription.
waited 2 hours for help installing. finally gave up. credit card charged
customer care horrific. waited 2 1/2 hours for help establishing software. charged $86. fraud complaint to my credit card company. absolutely don't want this product. designed to pick customer pocket. now blocked from helpful feedback/conversation with bitdefender. Very bad experience. seems to be the way things are these days. i DON'T RECALL DATE. APPROXIMATELY A WEEK AGO.
