Bitdefender has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
I am having great difficulty trying to cancel auto-renewal of a Premium VPN subscription with Bitdefender. Bitdefender want to renew at 100% rate when online they are advertising a 50% discount!!! Their "Contact Us" link constantly times out. What to do?
Had them for 5 years. The best protection, I have never had any PC issue and im online all the time. BUTTT last year, a staff use my debit card to purchase $400 of sport betting. Thank GOD my bank USAA blocked them for suspicious activity I wont be using them anymore since they are now $80 a year and the staff are thieves and NORTON 360 has a promotion for 15usd a year... yeah no brainer

J'avais remarqué que, par ma faute, Bitdefender assuré 5 ordinateurs/smartphones et je n'en avais que 3. Ils ont gentiment corrigé ma facture et même ajouté des mois de protection en plus.
Bitdefender is the best antivirus protection on the market. I have been using the defender for 15 years and never had a problem. Bitdefender is lite on resources and the reports in The application or bitdefender Central are very helpful. On bitdefender Central you can see alerts for all devices which device and the website that tried to attack that device. This is very handy for making sure family members are not visiting infected websites.
Finger weg. Abofalle und nahezu unmöglich zu kündigen. Ich hatte mir 2023 eine Lizenz für 1 Jahr erworben. Gestern wurde dann ein Betrag einfach von meinem Paypal abgebucht. Dann kam eine E-Mail über eine Aboverlängerung. Ich sollte ein Abo abgeschlossen haben, was ich aber nie gemacht habe. Unmöglich das Konto online zu verwalten. Als ich den Support anrief wurde 2 mal einfach aufgelegt. Bin mir immer noch nicht sicher, ob das Abo jetzt auf deren System gekündigt ist und wie ich mein Geld zurückbekomme. Kann von dieser Firma wirklich nur abraten. Ich werde dann wohl den Rechtsweg gehen müssen um mein Geld zurückzubekommen. Schade eigentlich, da das Programm an sich OK war. Ich wurde zwischenzeitlich kontaktiert und mein Abo wurde beendet und das Geld zurückerstattet. Daher habe ich meine Bewertung auf 3 Sterne geändert. Der Prozess des Abos und speziell die Möglichkeit der Verwaltung und Kündigung müsste dringend verbessert werden (meines Wissens genügt das aus nicht den gesetzlichen Vorgaben).
Even when I don't directly use their antivirus, I reported to them some sites and seems they are taking action. I appreciate their effort to fight against dangers that occur on the internet. The only thing that bothers me is that not all scam websites are being detected. But that's an obstacle for most antivirus and anti-scam services.
I had a horrible experience with Bitdefender's customer support. A month ago, I received an offer to extend my subscription, but the link provided didn’t work. I reached out to customer support immediately, hoping for a quick resolution. Instead, I was dragged through endless email exchanges, with absolutely no help provided. Their repeated response was that my issue would be “transferred to german customer support.” Are you kidding me? no one botherd to contact me in a whole month I waited and waited, but nothing was resolved. Eventually, I had no choice but to renew the subscription myself at the full price, without the discount I was promised. This feels like a scam – they clearly don’t intend to honor their offers and just want to squeeze more money out of their customers. Extremely disappointing service, and I wouldn't recommend Bitdefender to anyone. Avoid them if you value your time and money!
