Terrible vehicles

Don't let them give you a silver Opel Astra at Warsaw Airport!! The actual pickup etc went very smoothly. However, when driving out of the car park I noticed the orange engine management light was on. I stopped and told the young lady who handed me the car. She said to ignore the light as it is a factory fault and the car was fine to drive. 10 minutes into the journey I was having real problems getting the car into gear and the clutch was very "sticky". I decided that I would drop my wife and 2 young daughters off at the hotel then go back to swap the car as it really wasn't performing. However, I got to traffic lights, I was in the middle of 3 lanes of traffic. The car began to shake violently. The car would not go into gear and then completely cut out. I tried the engine 3 or 4 times but when it did start I could not force it into gear. Having 2 young kids in the car they became quite scared as we were sitting ducks. We called the emergency number, got out the car and removed all our luggage and waited for help. It took almost 2 hours for the replacement car to arrive with lots of apologies. I have since sent them an email to say how upsetting the whole experience was. However, the reply didn't even contain an apology. They actually told me that there was nothing wrong with the car and they hired it out to another customer. Can you believe that??? I hope the next customer isn't in the fast lane of the motorway when it breaksdown again, they might not be so lucky!! They're playing with lives!!

Nur mit zusätzlicher Versicherung

Das Fahrzeug wurde im April über die Fluggesellschaft gebucht und mit der Kreditkarte bezahlt. Vor Ort mussten wir die Kaution hinterlegen und die Kreditkarte war nur 5 statt wie im Kleingedruckten auf der Seite 3 hingewiesen 6 Monate gültig. Alle anderen Möglichkeiten wurden abgelehnt und uns wurden 560.- Euro für eine Zusatzversicherung aufgezwungen. Nie wurde darauf hingewiesen was eher Täuschung und Geschäftsmodell ist. Man muss auch vor Ort nochmals ein Papier ausfüllen, dieses dient eher für die Provisionbeweis der abgezockten Touristen. Auf dem Zusatzvertrag der Versicherung war bereits alles vorausgefüllt, sie wussten schon das es hier was zu holen gab. Ganz miese masche von der Swiss unterstützten Carunion

Auto Union Greece (Preveza Airport)- would definitely use again. We were told to expect someone waiting with a sign on arrival - we couldn't find him for 10 mins which sent alarm bells ringing, however on calling the office they said to walk across the road and minibus would be waiting for us, which it was. This was the only negative experience we had. The transfer to their office is 1 min away. Our car was ready and waiting , we checked over and completed paperwork and all was fine. Drop off was quick and easy. They had minibus waiting to transfer us back.

Slechtste auto verhuur ooit. Huur hier nooit een auto. De autoverhuur is slecht vindbaar. Bij aankomst hebben we een uur moeten wachten omdat de capaciteit niet op het aantal huurders berekend was. De auto die we meekregen maakte een absurd klapperend geluid dat vanuit de motorruimte kwam. AutoUnion was niet bereid naar ons toe te komen om het probleem op te lossen. In plaats daarvan hebben we een halve dag opgeofferd om terug te gaan naar autoUnion. Het mankement aan het voertuig is goed te verklaren. De verhuurder maakte een testrit waarbij hij de auto zo belachelijk ruig bestuurde dat geen auto het langer dan een jaar zou overleven. Bij het afleveren van de auto was de verhuurder zeer agressief en onbeleefd. Omdat er wat vervuiling door bezoek aan lokale stranden in de auto lag nam hij €50 euro van de borg in beslag. Aan de manier waarop dit kenbaar gemaakt werd blijkt dat dit spelletje vaker gespeeld wordt en dat ze op deze manier extra inkomsten proberen te genereren.

When we collected the car on 22th of…

When we collected the car on 22th of August at Corfu Airport, we missed an existing scratch on the undercarriage of the vehicle. After we returned the car on 29th of August, an other employee stated that we caused this scratch (without barely checking it, she just pointed to the scratch from a distance) and she demanded to pay instantly 180 EUR. Because we had a flight to reach, I paid this amount, but I didn't get any invoice or statement (only the POS terminal's receipt) what this payment was about. Furthermore she wrote down my debit card's number and also the security code of it and when I demanded to hand it over to me, she rejected it. When I complained, they quickly forget to speak English. Shameful, scammer company.

What complete rip off merchants

What complete rip off merchants. Even though they had our flight details they made no effort to let us know the car was due back at 1200 some 5 hours before we needed to be back at the airport. Although it was written in the faintest of writing on the booking sheet We were also given the car with 3/4 of a tank filled however on return we were told it needed to be more than 3/4 filled so my husband took it to he the petrol station to fill it up a little. On return he was told it still wasn’t enough. So basically we are going to be charged another full day plus fuel The staff were rude and unhelpful and also one of the male staff told us to get ourselves to the airport When they did take us the driver turned her back on myself and my children and made no effort to help us get the luggage in the van Avoid at all costs ! Pay a little extra and get some professional customer service ********* And in response to your response - The booking was made by my husband, if you genuinely want to resolves this matter then email him directly. The booking number was your number on your booking sheet. The company was Auto Union. The dates were 11 - 25 August. Booking number was 722157134 through Rentalcars and Autounion supplied the car and service

Loved the rental, exemplairy

Loved the rental, cheap, great service fast and adequate communication, no hidden costs, flexibel and a good car. I requested (as a surprise) to leave the car 1630 instead of 12. They arranged to have me leave it at 1530 without additional charge. Then they offered themselves to retrieve the car at my hotel, instrad of me dribing somewhere. Again without additional charge. very adequate in communication through this process. My complements. Refreshing for car rental.

Athens Airport - Markopoulo / Εξαιρετική εξυπηρέτηση ακόμα και βραδυνές ώρες

Ερχόμενος από επίσκεψή μου σε μια φίλη μου στην Γερμανία, αλλά και στην Διεθνή Έκθεση Τουρισμού εκεί ITB, και πριν την αναχώρησή μου για την Κύπρο από Ελλάδα για επαγγελματικούς λόγους, σε χειμερινή προσφορά κατευθείαν από την AutoUnion, και μέσω του site αυτής, είχα κάνει κράτηση για 14 ημέρες από 12/03/2018 εώς 26/03/2018 για ένα αυτοκίνητο της μικρότερης κατηγορίας τύπου Citroen C1 με απλή (μικτή) ασφάλεια σε τιμή μερικών δεκάδων Ευρώ. Όταν έφτασα στο γκισέ / ρεσεψιόν στο Μαρκόπουλο μου έδωσαν ένα αυτοκίνητο μιας κατηγορίας μεγαλύτερο, τύπου Fiat Panta και χωρίς καμία περαιτέρω επιβάρυνση εκτός βέβαια του υπολοίπου πληρωτέου ποσού της αρχικής ενοικίασης, το οποίο φυσικά και πληρώθηκε σε POS με κάρτα, και όχι της μετρητοίς και χωρίς απόδειξη όπως μας ζητούσανε άλλη φορά σε άλλη επώνυμη εταιρεία ενοικίασης στην Ερέτρια Ευβοίας, και η οποία δραστηριοποιείται εκεί δυστυχώς ακόμα! Όλη η διαδικασία στην AutoUnion έγινε γρήγορα αφού είχα δώσει και τα απαιτούμενα στοιχεία μου εκ των προταίρων για γρήγορο check-out, και δεν υπήρξε εκείνη την στιγμή κάποιο άλλο πρόβλημα Σίγουρα στο μέλλον θα ξαναπροτιμήσω κάποια στιγμή την AutoUnion! 17/08/2019

Happy Customer

Used Auto Union at Heraklion Airport in July 2019. Pick up location was just outside terminal alongside all the other car rental companies. We were welcomed into an air-conditioned office and given bottles of water. The staff loaded our luggage into the car for us. I was a little concerned that scuffs on the plastic wheel trims had not been recorded on the vehicle inspection form at pick-up but I was told that these are replaced when necessary and don't form part of the inspection. However, the rep was true to his word and we did not incur any excess charges. Would happily use the company again.

Exactly as I expected and a great Team

I recently used Autounion when I picked up a Car at Kalamata Airport for a 2 week hire. Car was a 2 year old Fiat Panda at a great price. Paid for ion advance but as all Car rentals do they took a swipe of the card as a security for any damage. We did walk around the car and all marks/scratches were noted and photographed on the phone. Team at Kalamata were great. Car was just right for our requirements and return was simple. Walked around the car again on return with the same person who dealt with us on arrival. I had no problems with Autounion at all and am back in Greece in late August and will be hiring from them again.

CONSTANTINE DIMITROPOULOS IPICKED UP ACAR ON THE 20TH OF MAY 2019 WHILE I WAS VISITING GREECE FROM AUTOUNION ELEFTHERIOS VENIZELOS I WAS PICKED UP FROM THE AIRPORT AND TAKEN TO THEIR DEPOT UP TO THERE ALL GOOD PAYD AND WENT ON MY WAY RETURNING THE VEHICLE AGAIN ALL GOOD BUT GETTING MY MONEY BACK 700 EUROS HAS BECOME FRUSRATING 2 MONTHS HAVE GOT PAST AND THEY STILL HAVENT REFUNDED MY MONEY INTO MY ACCOUNT IHAVE CALLED THEM 3 TIMES WITH NO SOLUTION I WILL NEVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN

Estafadores

Estafadores, venden coches de importación que la mayoría están bajados de km. En mi caso fui a venderlo tras 6 meses de tenerlo, y me sacaron un informe que estaba 100.000km bajado y con un siniestro en Bélgica. Les he denunciado y estoy esperando juicio. Pedir informes europeos que es dónde han tenido los daños.

I visit Greece most years and almost always hire from auto union. I have had no problems getting a car from them. The last few times I hired, I was given a brand new vehicle. I haven't had any problems with them in the past and have hired again for this coming summer, so looking forward to another pleasant experience

Esperienza da dimenticare!!!!!0

Meno di scarso non c'è?! Pagato tramite sito, noleggio fiat panda per 2 adulti e 2 bambini a €128,00 per 1 settimana a Zante. In fase di prenotazione ho erroneamente indicato mio marito come conducente e poi pagato con la mia carta di credito, l'unica in nostro possesso tra l'altro sul conto di famiglia, premettendo che nel momento del pagamento sul sito non è apparsa nessuna anomalia, (l'importante era pagare!), quando in agenzia ho tentato di lasciare il deposito cauzionale al personale addetto, in modo molto scortese mi è stato fatta notare una piccola clausola dove era scritto che il conducente avrebbe dovuto essere in possesso di carta di credito. Non mi hanno fatto ritirare l'auto e non mi hanno dato nessun alternativa se non quella di chiamare a mie spese il numero assistenza! Così ho fatto, mi hanno risposto dalla sede in Egitto e l'unica opzione che mi davano era annullare la prenotazione (per poi ricevere rimborso in 7gg) e aprire una nuova prenotazione a nome mio con un preventivo maggiore di quello precedente di 40 euro per avere una macchina più piccola (C1). Il solo annullamento della stessa mi comportava una penale di 48 euro. Non disponendo dell'ulteriore somma da loro richiesta sulla carta e non prendendo loro contanti, ho chiesto all'operatore del call center se poteva parlare col titolare dell'agenzia per trovare una soluzione, ho chiesto se fosse possibile noleggiare l'auto per meno giorni, ma mi hanno detto che non avevano a disposizione nulla. Dopo varie discussioni, il "boss " dell'agenzia di Zante mi ha rassicurato dicendomi che aveva risolto e cancellato la mia prenotazione e che avrei ricevuto il rimborso dell'intera somma. Mi ha invitato ad uscire indirizzandomi verso altre compagnie di noleggio. Una settimana dopo non avendo ricevuto nessu rimborso ho chiamato il numero assistenza e ho scoperto che la prenotazione non era mai stata cancellata. Sono tornata nell'agenzia di noleggio e mi hanno riso in faccia, e non per modo di dire. Nell'ultimo disperato tentativo di chiedere rimborso telefonicamente mi è stato detto da un operatore della sede di Manchester che dovrei ricevere almeno un rimborso parziale, ma sta di fatto che comunicazioni scritte non ne ho ricevute. Quindi Auto Union ve la sconsiglio proprio come compagnia, almeno in Zante, sono stati davvero pessimi, poca voglia di lavorare e ancora meno di aiutare il cliente!!
