Expensive Rubbish. Provides very limited information and you have to pay for anything else. Constant email prompts. A good concept but monetarised to the nth degree.

When I started this journey I wanted to find more information about my mother’s side of the family. You have provided info about my dad’s side which is information my cousin submitted

It not what I thought it would be. It shows relatives possible but it should be more organized listing all first cousins together , aunts , in their own section to see the results better everything is so all over the place

Habe vor zwei Jahren hier mein DNA Test eingereicht. Ergebnis war, dass ich 76% Türkisch bin. Nun habe ich mich nach langer Zeit wieder eingeloggt und da steht dass ich 52% Italienisch bin. Nächstes Jahr bin ich dann wahrscheinlich Chinese. Außerdem sollte jeder wissen, dass die Investorfirma Blackstone hinter diesem Unternehmen steckt.

I don’t seem to get info I thought I would. 3 people WTH my dna is all? I thought my report would come in form of papers to look at etc. I’m lost as to how this works. Maybe because I used my married name and not my maiden name?

Learning about myself

So when I got pregnant I was not sure who the father of my daughter was. Both men were in prison. So with the help of Ancestry I was able to figure out who her father was. It was a lot less expensive than the alternative. Im a single mother so my money it tight.

I’m very unhappy, I’ve been so excited about getting my dna results and I received an email saying my results are in but when I got to see it says I haven’t taken taken my dna and sends me to a page to purchase a kit. I’ve already done the whole process and I’m so mad!!

They took longer time of what they promised to give me the results.

I received Ancestry as a Christmas gift. I had to call because it was in my husband’s name at first. My account was reset. Then every time I have tried to access my account, it wants me to subscribe. I am extremely disappointed and just gave up.

So far I have spent all day looking through different pages of various documents and have found nothing that has wowed me. Lots of misinformation on family members. Did not meet my expectations of what I thought I should see. So the assumption is that unless other potential family members actively participate in putting the puzzle pieces in place, you can’t get a true picture unless you get a subscription.

I love Ancestry and all it has to offer. If I could afford it, I'd always have a subscription.

The first sample I sent was lost but then after 3 weeks they marked it as received. I was told it would then take up to 6 weeks and this morning, as the time had come, I called. At that point they told me that I should have been advised that it was contaminated. I wasn't. This has taken 9 weeks and has been a complete waste of time. Have requested a refund - fully expect them to somehow mess that up too as they are utterly useless. Avoid.

This is my first DNA experience. I appreciated the communication updates, and results arrived earlier than estimated. I am still confused with some of the I formation. However, I will take time to evaluate more closely. I would recommend trying it.

I thought I would find out more about my eastern European heritage. Found out that if I don’t know the dates of ancestors births or deaths it’s very difficult to find anything.

Meeten na het ontvangen van mijn dna onderzoek probleem. Ik kan mijn dna matches niet zien. Melding: deze functie is momenteel niet beschikbaar. Meerdere keren contact opgenomen en probleem is nog steeds niet geholpen. Ook heb ik abonnement voor een maand genomen met de oop dat het zou helpen. Niets is minder waar. Ikwil mijn geld terug. Heb ik niets aan.
