Pretty good I think. I have not compared to other sites available. When you start this journey you need to give yourself the time it needs to properly navigate all the information that may be relevant.
Ancestry.com has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and reliable, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
Review bombed, here is why. Originally I loved the service. However, I accidentally left a $70 subscription active. This...Read more

Det har sine fordele, men når man har uløselige problemer og ikke selv kan løse dem, kan man kun komme i kontakt med Ancestry på engelsk via IA, da jeg startede kunne man dog skrive til dem på dansk så fik man et svar efter nogen tid.
Everything seemed very good until I realized there was a TON of waiting for your sample to get processed, and your dna is not even that specific. It shows you your ancestors’ journeys and indigenous regions (Central America, Mexico, Cuba) however, it does not clearly specify what tribe or even the amount of generations back. Would be more useful with these key points.
Instead of just presenting a full and comprehensive report you just get a bare minimum "four main regions your ancesters came from" with some "basic traits" and are required to spend more money and sign up to more subscription apps to "unlock" all the other information they have available from your DNA sample. Very disapointed.
Bull I not impressed with it all about money
I am still waiting for results. It’s taken way too long.
The site is not user friendly and there should be more information on usage.
I sent in my DNA kit and was receiving weekly updates on status of my submitted DNA kit. When DNA results came in, I went into my account and was informed that I hadn't purchased a DNA kit. Unfortunately I sent in my sample tube without writing down my kit's registration no. down. I did receive an email with "Your AncestryDNA kit has been registered" confirmation. I also received an email informing me that my DNA results were in, yet when I go into my account, I'm showing no DNA kit was purchased. I'm totally dissatisfied and very disappointed with my experience with Ancestry.com
Had an issue with my membership and was expecting a bad experience as often when you have to call any company it's generally not a good experience... Well the customer service was absolutely top notch, I spoke with Emer who went out of her way to help and solved my issue in no time at all. Lovely Irish accent too 🍀 Thanks very much
Don’t test, don’t register! DNA results are a scam! I don’t believe they really did it! You will have to redo all trees from your correspondances and Thrulines are shit! Ancestry will send you thing to examine which will feed THEM but NOT YOU! They will leave you frustrated and propose you to register to a more expensive monthly payment! It is a rabbit hole! RUN!!!
When I joined years ago and sent in my DNA I was treated as a member and could find the links to my ancestors in my tree. Now you have to pay again to solve the mysteries and even pay for a whole year or pay a penalty. I'm still grateful to ancestry.com for revealing to me my black ancestor from 1619 and providing for connections through messaging of cousins but being asked to pay more was a real shock this go round. Also there's an error with my grandson's name mixed with my DNA and I can't correct it.
Very Disappointing. The results of the DNA did not reveal anything that I already knew of my family's history. Also, the Ancestry site is not very user friendly and is difficult to navigate.
Some names are missing and some are misspelled and I can't figure out how to correct them.
It nice to see dna results but they constantly roll back basic access to features in efforts to collect additional money, almost worth it to utilize a less expensive dna kit as you do not see anything further with them if you do not pay additional costs monthly.
It didn't tell me anything I didn't already know
I recieved my DNA results but I have to join Ancestry and pay for membership to see all the details.
J’ai tellement aimé le resulat adn sur mes origines ethniques, cela relève d’un progrès scientifique important mais les résultats sur mes traits de personnalité sont plus ou moins erronés. Mais tout est bien dans l'ensemble.
Waiting part
Still have not received my kit. Apparantly on hold at the airport and I havent had an update on it since I phoned in to enquire. I'm not sure if it wol even arrive and by when
The representative for us very patient answered all my questions
