Ancestry.com

It seems as if every single time I login to Ancestry's website to take a peak at my results, more and more features are being locked behind a paywall. Considering the price of the DNA-kit, the amount you are able to do with the results without paying the INSANELY high monthly membership fee, is truly anti-consumerist. I can only recommend that anyone stays far away from using Ancestry. You want a DNA-test? Take a deep dive into the different companies and look into what they offer after you have paid you DNA-kit. Ancestry is not worth it one bit. And I have a feeling that it will only keep getting worse.

Sent everything in. Got notified it was complete and available. When I clicked to view it told me the page was unavailable. Why can’t you send me the results in the USPS mail like you did for the other 3 family members because website doesn’t work all the time.

Absolut nicht seriös und 100 % unglaubwürdig. Am meisten ärgert mich das man keinen Ansprechpartner ausser KI erreicht. Es antwortet niemand. Problem war ,das ich meinen Test für unglaubliche 90 Euro gekauft und bekommen habe aber ab hier nichts mehr Funktioniert hat. Spart euch lieber das Geld ,nur abzocke und Abos. Wahnsinn das solche Geschäfte noch erlaubt sind

Failed to find even my son.

They sent me several email that I wasn’t interested in prior to the email with actual results. I think they were trying to sell me more. The results were nonspecific. The maps covered very large geographic areas. Didn’t really contribute to my understanding.

Love the process

I am Native American and the results doesn't include my being Native American. Yes, my people came from Europe and married Cherokee, but I don't understand why my being part Native American didn't show up.

Very little information without paying for a subscription. Extremely disappointed.

I did my test and before sending it for processing, I checked with 2 different agents from the support, of what should I do, they send me a link with label that I should print and glue it to the box. I found this very strange, for what reason should the Portuguese post services work for free just because i print some paper? I asked to 2 different support agents if I needed to put some stamp, I was told I shouldn't because the return of the sample was paid and I should just drop it in a mail box. I found that weird and i went to the post office where I was told I should pay a stamp which I did...Right now i don´t know how long it will take to get to Shannon airport in Ireland even if I paid for an express delivery. I'm not satisfied at all with the support, if I had just dropped it in a mail box i would have lost my money, still I don´t know how is going to work from Shannon to USA. I'm really disappointed with this service.

I think many things are promised and not followed through with. Your results of your dna are so general & many anre wrong. Everything is an up charge. Get this membership and you will unlock this. It’s no good

It wasn't very helpful. It doesn't provide you much useful information. You have to obviously pay extra just to find out necessary information that would be of any use. You really should advertise that.

I like the fact I got my results a week earlier then the excatual day ancestry said it would be.. I don't understand why I have to pay to see anything further like names places etc I can't even find things about my ancestors. Why is ancestry asking for money also there things that are free like I'd I take naps but when I click on it it won't let me see anything. My guess I will just have to do my homework solo like going to the public library but thanks ancestry for the fast results

Not real happy, never responded to direct questions, always wanted to sell additional sites which had no help. Upon completion of my test I was disappointed as my original purpose was never addressed. Finally able to speak to human (from foreign country), who also said nothing informative, she wound up hanging up on me when I asked for her recommendations to obtain information that wasn’t provided. Do not recommend company…

This was a new experience for me. I learned many things that were unknown to me previously. Ancestry sends you hints and possible connections to help build your tree. Overall, a very interesting and positive journey.

Password never works even new one. Your constantly trying to see what you paid for and are unable

I'm not too impressed. I thought when I paid and sent in my DNA I would actually find out more about my ancestry. If I want to know more I have to pay whatever other dollar amount to unlock a fact. At least I know who my parents are.

Gave me good information and kept me updated

I'm not able to open up my results it just keeps telling me reload the page or sorry come back and it's been going on for about two days now. I saw it one time now I can't get back into it
