STAY AWAY Horrible customer service/communication. I Purchased a dishwasher and was told it would be delivered and installed on Wednesday. I then get a call that now it won't be delivered until Saturday. I was told I would be given a 3 hour window to make the plans so I took my Saturday off. Friday comes and I still haven't been given my time slot so I call the store, Andrew tells me he will return my call and give me my slot. He calls back and lets me know that it will be sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.. Yeah not a 3 hour time slot but a 9 hour time slot. Saturday morning comes and I call the store to see if they could give me somewhat of a better time frame and then they inform me I need to call the install company personally. I call the install company and they said they had no install scheduled for today because my dishwasher hasn't been delivered to the store yet. I informed them I bought the model at the store so I didn't require a delivery to the store, just the install/delivery at my home. He informs me I need to call the store back. I call the store back and speak with the manager Richard, and he tells me he will look into it and get back with me. 2 o'clock comes and still no answers and half my Saturday gone. Horrible and I mean horrible customer service barely even an apology I canceled my order and will take my business elsewhere. It's clear why Sears couldn't make it. (Fenton, MO Location)
I purchased a refrigerator from Sears Outlet on May 22nd, it was delivered on June 8th after many issues with delivery and them not calling or returning my calls to set up the delivery (even at one point they told me the delivery driver was involved in a car accident and that's why they never showed up - this was after me getting no response and driving down to the warehouse). On June 18th my refrigerator and freezer stopped working. I called Sears Outlet and was told to come down to the warehouse. I went down where they instructed me to purchase a $300+ protection agreement so the repair would be covered because their NEW refrigerator was SOLD AS IS. I was told not to call until the following Monday as this would look like I was trying to scam them (not sure how this makes sense because I ONLY had this fridge for a few days before it went out!). I called Monday June 20th, they scheduled an appt for June 25th. Technician came and ordered 2 new parts, a diffuser and a motherboard. These parts arrived via UPS on July 1st. They scheduled an appt. for July 15th. Technician Tomasz K. showed up and let me know that the incorrect part was ordered and there was a different issue than originally discovered on June 25th. We rescheduled for July 31st (today). Tomasz K. showed up again and stated that the parts were delivered and must have been stolen. I receive notifications and never was there anything delivered. He called and was informed that order was never placed. My husband asked to speak with his supervisor and was told "that's not how it works". He left our home telling us there was nothing he could do today. I called Sears Home Services and spoke with Max was told I should have my unit replaced as this is a lemon, they transferred me to the Protection Agreement Department after 1 hour and 17 mins on hold I was connected to Manager Marcus. Marcus was extremely rude and disrespectful and told me I could rent (SPEND MORE MONEY) another refrigerator until they got the part in but they would NOT replace my unit as I needed 4 repairs in 1 year before they could replace it and we were only mid replacement 1. I have been without a refrigerator for a month and a half. We are a family with 4 children and this has been a beyond frustrating experience. I need your help! I need a working refrigerator. This has costed me almost $2000 with the cost of the fridge, the protection agreement and the food I had to throw away. I'm in tears with frustration as I write this because no one will help me!
I placed an order online for a patio set from the Grand Prarire , Tx location on 07/22/2020. It was confirmed by email, assigned an order number and advised delivery would be in 3-5 days. When I heard nothing by 07/30/2020, I inquired as to the status and received a short email advising the store did not have the patio set and sorry for the inconvenience. No one bothered to advise me the merchandise was not available and did not seem to care much about the lack of communication. Poor customer service.

American Freight/Combo Sears is a joke. American Freight has gotten worse ever since Sears Outlet has merged with them. First of all Sears already had a bad business rep, and merging with America Freight who already was ridiculous with there prices didn’t make this any better. My thing is this... American Freight have you place an application online or in person to finance your furniture. After you are approved they give you the amount you are approved for, but when you go to look for the furniture you want with this (so called $50 down) you can’t take it home to me is a big scam. I was just told by a store manager you have to pay for your item in full, and you can’t put the $50 down, because the item isn’t in stock. He added the item won’t be for a while, and the store isn’t sure when the item will be in. The problem is American Freight wants you to pay for the item in full when you can’t take it home. So why are customers applying for store credit? I also went looking for a refrigerator, and stove at the Livonia Michigan store and was shocked by how the majority of the merchandise was damaged and dented. This is absolutely unexceptionable, and why try and re-sell damaged items at a higher price when you couldn’t get rid of it before the merge. This is why I am taking my business else where. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM. RUN
I purchsed a couch and love sest from American Freight. I also purchased their extended warrenty. What a rip off! After 14 months, couch and love seat have broken down to the point you are sitting on the frame! Also the mechanism for the recliner, is broken. When I called the store, they told me it was a warranty issue. I called the insurance company and tgey said it's not covered by extended warranty. Piece of crap! And warranty is worthless. I will never purchase from American frieght again. Crappy furniture. Horrible customer service.

The Claycomo Missouri location has pretty good deals but the communication from management sucks and so does the product availability. They have an employee by the name of Kristen who should be promoted. She has excellent customer service,communication skills, knowledgeable and just over all pleasent. I only want to do business with her!

Porsche from the Decatur store was amazing! Answers every question with accuracy And patience no matter how many questions I asked, very knowledgeable. She made my experience great. And she is the reason I’ll be back.
Never,never,never buy furniture here. The worst quality ever and they charge 60% interests for this garbage. I have a couch for a year, it's only used by my neighbor to sit for maybe an hour when she comes to visit me once/twice a month, me and my family use the chairs every day( not from this store). Spring is broken,pu peeled out.. it's a complete disaster. I never had a furniture peace that only last for a year. I wrote and called to a customer service and submitted a claim with pictures. They don't even bother to respond. Stay away from this store!

My Boyfriend and I bought couch and a chair from this company on February 15th, 2020 . When we purchased it the rep helped us set up the payments to have it paid off by a certain date... except that they set it too low without letting us know! The total was 750 and now they want to charge us over 900 more dollars saying we didn't make the deadline. (they also voided the contract) ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE!!! Do NOT buy from American Freight Furniture! They are a bunch of scammers!!!!
We were at the store in Kettering OH on the forth of July looking for a refrigerator for our garage. Dan was so helpful pulling out the refrigerators that fit our criteria so we could go up and down the aisles and know which ones to look at. He was very helpful and patient. We were greeted by other associates in the store. Everyone was very nice. Watched another associate on the phone helping a customer by walking around the refrigerators and telling the price and how they looked. All very nice!
American Freight is a scam. I order a tool, they charged my credit card. I got an email that I will get it in 3-5 days. AFter 3 weeks, I tried to contact them, by email and phone. I got no response. And the email and phone on their website do not work. No one replies back. No one pick up. Avoid this seller.

I have purchase numerous items from Store # on Rodi Rd in Penn Hills, PA. In the past I had issues with the customer service, the warranty claim process and the overall products I purchased. In November of 2018 I bought a sectional couch with a 5 year extended warranty. In November of last year the couch started to have issues. A very noticeable tear along the hem line of one of the cushions. I called the store and since it was just a year I began the long and tedious process of filing a warranty claim. Got no response from the store or anything. A couple months later I get ahold of someone explaining the claim we put in and they said they had no record of it and for me to do another one. At this point one of the arms of the sectional had noticeable dipping, another tear was forming and you felt all of the boards in the couch when you sat on it. Completely uncomfortable. Filled out the online warranty claim. A couple weeks later still no response. Called the store and a guy said I did it the wrong way. I had to file a Guardian Protection claim because now we are outside of the 1 yr factory warranty. Again I start over and I get a response from Guardian saying it could take 30-60 days to get a response. Couch continues to get worse, springs coming through, a 12” x 12” hole forming u set one of the cushions....I eventually call the store again and finally get Calvin on the phone. He was the manager. He helped me get an answer from Guardian that was never sent to me. He said that Guardian had denied my claim saying the damage was outside of my warranty period (5 yr?). That was impossible and he understood. He said for me to call him back the next day, he was going to take care of it in store. I called him and he said that I could come in and he would handle the replacement of the couch that was obviously within the warranty period. This past month I finally made it to the store and picked out a new sectional and he scheduled it for delivery for me. Calvin is an exceptional talent as manager. His calmness and wherewithal is a benefit to the company and this store in particular. He k we that I had been through the ringer and given the run around and now, during Corona Virus, he went above and beyond to make sure that he kept a customer, a happy and satisfied customer. Yesterday my new sectional arrived, and the family loves it. Hopefully it lasts way longer than the last one did but I know that if I have any issues, Calvin will take care of me.

I ordered a matress set for my son paid for and was given the delivery date of July 1. I got a call confirming the date and given the time between 3-5. 530 comes no delivery. I called the number on my receipt and was put on hold for 44 minutes.. I went to the store and the manager was hiding out in his office, made us wait for him. He said he didnt know where the delivery people were. I returned my order. I will NEVER do business with them again!
