Easy, no fuss procedure to buy the insurance

The price of this policy compared to other insurers was without comparison. It was an excellent price and although we didn’t need to make a claim, the PDS would suggest we would have been covered for any issues that the bigger companies insure against.

I was experiencing issues entering my details to obtain travel insurance and rang and spoke with Sara from the UK. She was so patient and lovely with me and everything worked perfectly after.

We will tell you once we have made a claim. That's when feedback counts. I can say the policy looks very different than what was being advertised on social media. Buyer beware

I developed terrible stomach pains while staying in Jakarta, Indonesia. A doctor recommended I visit the hospital because she was concerned about an inflamed appendix. We called Travel Protect on the way to the hospital to let them know what was happening and within 5 minutes we were talking to one of their medical team. Whole process was very simple, they had a contract with the hospital and within 30 minutes of arriving they had sent through a guarantee of payment. As a result, I received very fast and excellent care. My appendix ended up having to be removed and I spent the next 4 days in hospital. During this time the insurer emailed several times to check how I was doing and they were quick to follow up when my costs reached the initial guaranteed threshold (sent through an updated guarantee of payment within the hour). I left the hospital having paid nothing but the excess, despite the final bill being close to $10k. They also followed up the next week to see if I needed to add anything else to the claim (cancellation of trip, any lost accommodation costs, etc) before it was finalised. I’m planning to use these guys again for our next trip.
