GREENTHUMB DISASTER

Looked after my garden for 6 - 7 years they've eventually ruined it what a waste of money, they ruin it then try charging me to put it right😡

Cardiff east branch have been amazing Came to our new build and seeded the garden and the grass has been just amazing! Darren has been on call if we had any questions and came back to us really quickly! Quote was quick and easy and the work got done not long after. Gentleman that completed the work were lovely and good at what they do. We opt for the monthly direct debit same as family members and we are so far very happy. Cardiff east are a great team

What a fraudulent company.

What a fraudulent company.. taking money by DD and rarely showing up, no answer to calls.. just get yoru gardener to do maintenance, lot cheaper as these guys are fraudsters

Removed family cars from the drive to be told they’ve run out of weed killer!! 😡 then said I’ve not got an account, then said it was for a quote ….. terrible customer service I have got an account, I gave you the go ahead regardless of price, …. Will update ratings when/if completed.

Shocking

Shocking, sent me a bill that by their own admission didn’t add up and I had paid every invoice! So when I emailed them to contact me as I could not get through they called me back 5 weeks later!!!!! I said I don’t owe anything and can you tell me what it’s from there reply was “ was a couple of years ago” I said can you cancel my subscription and the reply was your on hold anyway

Brighton - unprofessional and lack of care

Brighton We thought Green Thumb was a professional lawn care company. This is not the case. We had leather jackets last spring and after telling them we had a problem they gave an additional treatment on the spring/summer visit. Whether this worked or not we do not know as the larvae hatch in May. As winter progressed this year we noticed the lawn was in an increasingly poor state, with moss and bare patches everywhere. We advised the company again of our problem only to be told that we should have had another treatment in October as this is when the dragon fly lay their eggs. We did not know this and were not advised by Green Thumb at the time I have subsequently found out that we should also have given our lawn a short cut at that time so that the eggs were more exposed for birds to eat. Our new lawn which is only three years old is now non existent.

Green Thumb Lawn Treatment not fit for purpose!

I have been using Green Thumb for 3 years following a new lawn I had turfed. Moss started to appear from Autumn last year, by March there was no grass left and I have had to invest in a brand new lawn and topsoil. Green Thumb will take no responsibility blaming the acidity of the soil, leatherjackets or wet winter. Their treatment did absolutely nothing and the price increased 40% in that time. Very unprofessional and non existent customer service. My advice is stay well away!

We have been long standing customers of…

We have been long standing customers of Green Thumb like many others that have reviewed on here. However the last few visits and treatments have destroyed our lawn. On phoning the immediate response was to simply tell us it could be leather jackets! We had followed the advice previously for two years with regards them and treated the lawn as advised with nematodes so are left both bemused and annoyed. Whatever the treatment in February was it has damaged our lawn in a significant way! Not the same company at all.

Not the 'what' it is the 'how' - immature behavior.

The advised 'price change' was astronomical - over 40% - and that was on top of previous year on year increases. To be fair we found the service of the technicians very good so we did go back with revised lawn size ( our borders have got bigger over the years) - the difference was about 20 sq meters - ( 195 to 172) - a difference of £1.46 a month - £17.52 a year - but instead of 'retaining a client' & adjusting their quote & 'trusting us' for the sake of a couple of quid they are sending out a 'service manager' to measure the lawn - so much for trust & good will. The cost of that attendance will cost far more than the goodwill they could have salvaged - and it has got our back up. I pointed that out to the administrator who called but she was more concerned about over 4,000 clients ( Hampshire area) who they were trying to deal with. Happy to alter this review depending on what happens next. As always it is not 'the what' it is 'the how' & GreenThumb dont see that - or at least the Salisbury branch does not.

Continuing good service

David from Dartford came last week (as he has done for years) and carried out our treatment as usual. Lawn is looking good and hopefully will continue through this year. He is courteous, cheerful and works hard. Change of ownership doesn't seem to have degraded our area.

AVOID GreenThumb - Monthly price just doubled

Monthly price has just nearly doubled since last years payments. They don't turn up when they say and spend literally 5 minutes applying chemicals and missing big bits of both lawns.

I have no complains Rob arrived on the day they said and made a good job of feeding our lawn I have been using Greenthumb for a few years and our lawn is the best i have seen it

AVOID AVOID!

Same as other reviewers, my advice is to AVOID Green Thumb at all costs. They used to be good, but since the local franchise was closed down a year ago, firstly they increased my direct debit by an unreasonable 50%, and secondly the service has completely failed. They definitely do not deliver the programmes that they promise - they do not stick to the treatment schedule, and the operators literally spend only a minute applying the chemicals. When I cancelled they sent me a huge additional invoice and started a campaign of bullying me into paying this. What a way to treat a woman in her 70s!!
