Noise Pollution Violates UK Laws

Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up. Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws. Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.

I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. Thank you dear Adam

I have got an offer in which i have been allotted unlimited calls with 100gb data for 30 days only in £6. and the plus point is that it will be double date (200gb) for the 1st month . really impressed with the way that they welcome their new customer . I have also ported-in my number by contacting their customer support via helpline . it was a smooth and easy process . i am really satisfied with their support team and their services . 5g working perfectly alright with no throttling and capping . 5stars and highly recommended.

Absolutely shocking company

Absolutely shocking company . I bought a SIM from them on the understanding that it was on a 1 month rolling contract but two days after I activated it I got an email telling me I was being moved onto a 12 month contract , When I tried to remove my bank card details their system would not let me so I had to cancel the payment from the banks end. The SIM card worked okay until I mentioned cancellation then the data rate dropped from 20Mb/s to 314 bits/per second even though I was only 4 days into my months contract.The online chat was quick but they went to school in in a town called "Denial" first of all they denied that it was a 1month contract (really 1month pay in advance) then when I screenshot the original advert they just ignored it.Then they denied there was a problem with the data rate on the SIM even though there is a speed readout on my phone showing 314bits/sec---In summary just stay away from this company to stop being either ripped off or dupped into a contract you don't want or treated like an idiot.

False advertising

Ordered 30 day SIM. Changed their terms and conditions buried in the small print giving me two days to cancel otherwise I was going into a 12 month contract. Scam.

See UPDATE...They alter the terms and conditions to…

They alter the terms and conditions to a 12month contract AFTER signing up on a no contract basis!!! AVOID ..reported to OFCOM and trading standards.. UPDATE: Since this happened I reached out to Talk Home Mobile about what they had done with the change of contracts and THEY LISTENED! They have now changed the terms and conditions back to the old ones that DO NOT require a 12 month contract. A perfect response. Contacting them since has always been met with very quick responses and a desire to put things right and are now a pleasure to do business with so the review has been upgraded to 4 stars and I will update again in a few months once the sim card has been in use for a bit.

Sly T&C’s change

Like many here agreed to a 30 day rolling contract with 1p for the first 6 months. Because of the deal the minimum term was 6 months. Which was fine and perfect to try out the network and see what signal coverage was like. Then a few days later on Friday (09/06) saying they’ve changed the T&C’s and if you don’t agree you need to cancel by Tuesday (13/06). Reading through the T&C’s the made the minimum contract term 12 months. Very sneaky to change this after the offer and only give people 4 days to cancel. The email could have specify the chances rather than a link to the T&C’s page.

Changing contract terms by stealth

As many others have reviewed here, I too got caught to their tactic of changing contract terms by stealth. To clarify, Talkhome offers what they call "One month rolling contracts for up to 6 months for 1p per month". However, the day after I recieved the sim, I got an e-mail indicating that their contract terms have changed and now I'm locked in to the network for 12 months where they can charge pretty much anything they feel like, after the promo period ends. I tried to get thru to their customer service and with great difficulty, managed to get thru to someone. After a long discussion, managed to explain to the person that there is something called a 14-day period for cancelling contracts, written down in the law! Now I'm waiting for the service to terminate. Oh, one more thing - when you read the 5-star reviews of Talkhome in Trustpilot, please don't forget to check the reviewers profiles. You will be pleasantly surprised :)
