Noise Pollution Violates UK Laws

Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up. Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws. Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.

I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. Thank you dear Adam

Sudden change of T&Cs to the detriment of new customers

Very sneaky move of the goalposts from TalkHome Mobile. I signed up to a 30 day rolling contract and within days received an email advising of a change to the Terms and Conditions. Absolutely no mention in the email that they were changing the basis of the contract from a 30 day rolling contract to a 12 month minimum contract, and giving you two working days to ask to cancel your subscription. Based on that level of poor customer experience I have requested cancellation with immediate effect. EDITED 13 June : Fair play to THM, they realised they'd scored an own goal, and indeed have sent an email confirming the enforced 12 month contract will not now apply. Also full marks for processing my cancellation request promptly. However, the reputational damage to their name has been done as far as I am concerned, and I will not be renewing my custom with them. I've increased the score to 3 stars, however, as they did send the SIM relatively quickly, promptly responded to emails, and reversed their decision within days of their error. I did also lodge a complaint with OFCOM, so wonder whether a quiet word was had with them.

Ordered a sim 30 day rolling contract

Ordered a sim 30 day rolling contract, cancel anytime. Now got email saying if I don’t cancel within one month I am locked in to 12 month contract. No way so i have sent email to cancel. Crafty. Update. 14/6/23. Further to your backtrack on unfair imposed terms. Cannot be trusted to do the same again, reputation damaged. I Will not be staying.

A nasty change in T&Cs!

I received my sim yesterday. Today they have changed the terms and conditions locking me into an unwanted 12 month contract. I have already cancelled through their cs chatbot Joey. Hopefully that is an end to this shambolic and quite frankly deceitful episode. Addendum: Talk Home are trying to remove my 1 star review.

Abysmal Business Practice

Update : 26/6/23 After several messages between myself & Ismail I now have a TalkHome sim, I am assured that the original deal will be honored I obviously can not say anything about the service as I have not used the service yet. I will report back after using the service for a month or so. on 9/6/23 there was a Change of Terms & Conditions only hours after signing up to their "Special Offer" advertised as a 30 day rolling contract cancel anytime, when I read the new terms I discovered that I had now signed up to a 12 Month contract and that I had to cancel by the 13th June 2023 or I would be bound by the new Terms & Conditions ABYSMAL BUSINESS PRACTICE in my humble opinion. I assume they are relying on people NOT reading the new terms via the link in the Email message

They are luring customers with 1p deals…

They are luring customers with 1p deals and the suddenly change T&C's trying to tie up for 12 months after 3 months 1p offer. Crooks, just avoid them and a hassle you will have. Talk Home are trying to remove my 1 star review too.

Avoid these SCAMMERS

Order a sim saying it recurs every 30 days. Once sim arrived, received an email with update T&C stating that if you can cancel in a month then it is okay otherwise it is 12 month contract and you have to pay Remaining month. What a scam. These Scammers know that not everyone reads fine print.

Ordering sims

contacted talk home spoke to joey about buying a couple of sim cards he explained all the process of buying and porting and ending the contract. he was very helpful and knowledgeable have ordered 2 sims hopefully it will go smoothly

Ported my number

I have recently ported-in my number from a local network to Talk Home 3 days ago . In the start, i was informed that it will be completed within 48 hours but it took a little bit delayed and now i have got my number with Talk home on 3rd day. Customer Support was very friendly and cooperative from the start . It was Mr Ahmad who assisted me throughout and keep me updated with my request. i am really satisfied with their help . They are using EE so from evening, data is working perfectly fine and i am enjoying 5g services at reasonable prices. Highly recommended !
