Noise Pollution Violates UK Laws

Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up. Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws. Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.

I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. Thank you dear Adam

Im sure ive made a review previously of the dire circumstances of joining Talk home. I thought that would be the end and once up and running it would just…. You know, be a mobile phone provider in 2025. Its not like were brand new tech here in 1990. The problems are… Not being able to make calls Not receiving calls When a call does go through the line is so bad you can barely hear them. The line drops out…. A lot. And the straw that broke the camels back was just going for a run and having zero mobile connection to the internet, no radio app. No music (yes i could have downloaded) and even strava couldn’t connect and upload my run. Honestly ive been with them a month and im off. I live in bristol. None of these problems with any previous supplier.

It’s cheap and it shows

It’s cheap and it shows. Firstly as an MVNO on the EE network you are guaranteed the best quality reception in the UK. However, on every level from account management, services provisioning to call connection times it’s a low, barely acceptable standard. I’ve recently moved three accounts into THM. cant see one of them in my account, I regularly have to reprocess payments, or call CS to get things working. Cheap, but not cheerful.

No service. No support

I was having issues where i could not make calls and everytime it would either say "no mobile network avaliable" or calls would just go to voicemail and this was the same when people called me. I called Talkhome for support and they told me it was an issue with my phone despite other sim cards working with my phone, no problem. I have now moved to another provider due to the lack of support and the ongoing issue. Update 30.05.25: Sid, I appreciate your response to my review however at the moment I do not see where I would return as a customer of Talk Home due to the experience I had, your advisor who I spoke to (didn't catch his name) was quick to dismiss any issues and said it's my phone's fault even though other people's SIM cards who are on a different network, worked perfectly fine in my phone. With my new provider I have not faced such issues. Again I appreciate your response to my review.

Very good service

I phoned customer service because I couldn't make any calls or sending messages. My account was blocked as a remaining balance seems to go wrong at some points. The conversation was cut off due to bad signal but I received call back with adviced to connect through WhatsApp. Tim sorted account balance and other pending problems. Thank you very much to his good service and great help. Kamolratana

No Service

No service, I've waited for three different sim cards from these people and ALL of them left me with intermittent service. I'm in the process of selling my house and have now lost three viewers because of Talk Home Mobile and am pulling my hair out with anger. I first ordered a sim on 28th March 2025, it's now 18th May 2025 and I still can't get service. I'm also on my third sim from them. It's been the worst experience of a network I've ever had. Absolutely abyssmal. The online chat help facility is awful too. You've been warned people. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!
