Noise Pollution Violates UK Laws

Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up. Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws. Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.

I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. Thank you dear Adam

Contacted customer services…

Contacted customer services with various queries before purchasing a SIM only package. Tom replied to my queries in a prompt, efficient and professional manner. THANK YOU TOM!!! Your help was very much appreciated.

Incompetent misleading company…

Awful company promised sim card within 3 days did not answer our queries for not receiving it. Rather than be without a mobile went to Giff Gaff received the sim next day. 2 weeks later Talk Home sim arrived, refused to refund £5 charge for phone calls paid. (The sim is quoted as being free). would cost me money to return the sim under their conditions and they would not even then promise a refund.DO NOT USE THIS AWFUL INCOMPETENT COMPANY. As further proof of incompetence and misleading Talk we received another sim today 4 weeks later ??????? They are now saying the £5 charge was for the sim should I now get a £10 refund then. After their reply below about returning the sim they now have the sauce to say there will be admin charges it will therefore cost me more to return the sims than the £5 they took from my account with their deceit and mis leading ads. I repeat AWFUL company.

Ordered a payg sim card did not arrive So I ordered another sim card a week later and that has not arrived either Contacted customer services and they wanted my mobile number that I was enquiring about How am I able to give them a mobile number when no sim card has been received Avoid the company

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE Very bad service lots of unexpected charges. AVOID Further to your reply sadly its customer services that have been one of the problems. This sim has now been cancelled because it was delivered late and talk home have the audacity to charge for cancelling the sim even though it was delivered outside of the promised delivery window. Even spoke to supervisor In customer service who really could not have cared less.

What a waste of time

What a waste of time, DO NOT USE, moved from previous network and the day number ported over service stopped 2 hours later. Contacted them to be told I'd sent too many text messages on an "Unlimited Text" plan, they didn't bother to tell me this up front I has to ask them why it wasn't working hours later after searching the internet for answers. Next day same again, asked them to resume the service while my new sim arrived as I use the phone for my business, was told I needed to email in and the chat was ended by a "Tom" who is the same person on each chat, childish behaviour and don't think they'll be around for very much longer, gives a felling of it's a one man band. I think I'll report them to OFCOM from false advertising saying the plan has unlimited texts when clearly it doesn't BYE BYE !

NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE …

I joined Talk home mobile and ported my number it all went smoothly. When my number was ported over I had big problems making calls it would take 5 attempts to make a call , When people would phone me calls go straight to answer phone. When I done a live chat with Talk home I was told to adjust the settings which I did still no luck, I also noticed when making calls after 5 attempts the Internet would cut off. I again reached out to Talk Home live chat and was told they don't do VoLTE meaning no Internet connection when making or receiving calls. I've gone back to my old provider within 4 days of joining Talk home, This company is absolutely disgraceful, unable to make or receive calls is the minimum service I would have expected from Talk Home. I've missed important hospital calls, frustrated at redialing number 5 times to get connected. This is an honest review of a company that's not fit for purpose. Hope no one else goes through what I have been through with this disgraceful company.
