Noise Pollution Violates UK Laws

Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up. Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws. Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.

I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. Thank you dear Adam

SIM never arrive

Bought a SIM only plan £5.49 for 18GB per month online. SIM didn’t arrive after 2 weeks. It said next day delivery when I ordered. Talked to CS twice in these two weeks, every time they reponsed the same, telling me that the SIM will arrive in 3-4 days, but never happened!! SCAM!

Terrible attitude to customer

I bought a monthly contract for a family member. The details page showed zero credit ( I'd authorised direct debit) and there was a tab saying "Top up" so I paid the initial fee topped up with £10 to start the contract. Despite saying in the small print that the £10 was only for this account they now claim a "top up" applies to a "PAYG" and can't be used for monthly payments or returned. " Non-refundable". We only bought a specific deal and didn't ask for anything extra so can't understand why this tab was on the page. Terrible response from their customer service. Intransigent. Say we should have put their own meaning on plain English words and it was our mistake. Switching out asap. Spusu are good for customer response Forgot to add it took 9days to get the SIM ( sent 2nd class) and now we have extreme difficulty with texting, often needing to resend 6 times. Terrible! I think their customer service department is hostile, argumentative, insulting and belligerent. Their app is useless and website hard to get anything out of- it's geared to selling stuff. Oh, and they have their own definition of " unlimited" buried deeply in their "conditions". 3000 minutes ( or parts thereof) and texts. Stopped my disabled sons calls mid- month because he'd kept dialling his carers' answerphone. Without warning! . Just read their response. Usual platitudes and excuses. Implying the customer is stupid. Their "conditions" are as clear as mud , the snags deeply buried and as far away from "fair" as they can be. Our entire family is switching to fairer providers (Spusu and Lebara) and we'll be well rid of this nightmare bunch. And the texting problems lasted for several days (at least 3days from when we first realised) . 9 days to get the SIM and 3days + to fix a network problem are hardly swift. We still have unexplained delays on dialling and call cut-offs.

All great

Been with THM for 3 months, and all has been great. Signal good for data, texts and phone calls. Only issue has been accessing Voicemail sometimes does not connect, but a few attempts resolves the issue. Really pleased for how much the cost is per month. I ended up moving another sim to THM which has been equally good. I contacted CS by email a few days ago and got a really quick reply.

Not Great!

Calls - Not great. Calls consistently failed to connect, would drop out mid call or take in excess of 30 seconds to connect (if at all). People had to WhatsApp me to get hold of me as they were told I was unavailable all the time. I live in a 5G area and previously with EE, so shouldn't really have any issues. Reading reviews on here, this seems to be a regular issue that CS blame the customer for. Customer Service - Didn't use so cannot comment. Price - Good, however, if you can't make or take calls it does raise a concern about value for money. App - Awful. Couldn't get passed the login screen so deleted straight away. Website - OK. History was slow to load, had to refresh a few times for it to show. My experience wasn't great, hence the 2 stars. Only stayed with them for just over a week due to the call issues. Thankfully porting number was relatively painless. Would I recommend these to anyone? No.

The service team response is excellent. However only gave 4 stars as the first SIM sent did not arrive and a replacement had to be sent. Otherwise very good

Basically these people are scammers and…

Basically these people are scammers and have little respect for their customers. I paid into their Penny Pro program on the 20th of the month as I was coming to the UK. I needed to stay a bit longer and ended up coming back on the 29th. At the end of the month I was charged again and when I complained the answer was even more upsetting. They claimed they will charge at the beginning of the month regardless of when you make your payment and your balance disappears at the end of the month irrespective of when you had made a payment. I indicated that this was not explained in their offer as they speak of 30 days. My logic did not impress them at all and they chose to lose a customer for all of £5 pounds. This is sign of a very cheap unprofessional bunch of people who do not value their reputation. I will sign up with another network, one which values her customers more than £5. Good riddance.

Don't buy from them!

If it were possible to give less than a star I would give that. I purchased a Lebara top-up of £10, but they didn't show their fees at the beginning, another £2. Nonetheless, I didn't receive the code, I had to buy from elsewhere another £10 top-up. I wrote to customer service, but they didn't reply. So, do not buy from them.
