Noise Pollution Violates UK Laws

Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up. Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws. Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.

Adam's support was great

I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. Thank you dear Adam

This is a genuine though terrible experience, it just did not work.

I know this score is low but this is a genuine experience. Sim arrived after one week and initially it had data connection but would not make calls. Eventually by chance I found a selection on the app to use a ' local access number to make calls ' if you don't have data ( even though I had data working). I managed to make one call on this setting but after a few hours then lost the data use completely. Who needs to be forced to use an app to make a phone sim work anyway ?. Trying to contact THM by E Mail proved very difficult. E Mail addresses and even links on their own help pages bounced as address does not exist. Eventually after two days trying I did find one address that worked and managed to cancel the service though they tried to make me do that on a webpage that didnt have that facility. Im in my late 50's, Ive had a lot of networks/MVNO sims and have never had a mobile phone service this bad. I know its super cheap but honestly, I wouldn't use it if it was free.

This customer support staff was very good

Despite a problem with the website that made deliveries to Yorkshire impossible (Which is a glaring issue that I hope they resolve soon), the customer service provider walked me through fixing a problem I had with my phone calmly and simply. It was a very positive experience. However, this was my third attempt to resolve this issue, with my first two attempts resulting in being told to request a replacement sim that couldn't be delivered for the reason mentioned above.

Save your money absolutely useless a week for a sim that comes with no signal customer service is also lacking,porting number takes forever,when you finally get the sim you realize why it's so cheap, basically it's because it is Crap

Talk Home Mobile is great! Their customer service is top notch and the packages and deals they provide are amazing. I've had great experience with them. Service is a lot better than any other big provider out there. I'm very pleased with them and would highly recommend!

Be VERY careful when porting the number

In all honesty, I had no issues with the sim while I did use it. The issue arose when I ported the number from the Sim to another contract. Nowhere on the porting page does it explain that you will no longer be able to log in to reclaim you balance, and that money is lost forever. There is no way to recover the balance, and customer services are unwilling to help. If you have ANY balance remaining before porting, be warned that you MUST contact customer services before porting the number. If I was warned of this beforehand, of course I would have, but now my balance is gone.

Moved from 1p mobile

Have had positive experiences so far with this company. Ported over my number from 1p mobile easily. 1pmobile increased their prices so I moved. The main competitor now to Talk Home is Lebara and I'm glad to do business with both. Just got off customer service with Adam who was quick and helpful in explaining my plan. I had first 3 months basically free with Talk Home which is great and they are a relatively new company. When the 3 months ends then I will begin monthly Starter Plus plan for £5 a month that's all I need! "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above" (James 1:17)

Very poor signal yet EE has the best…

Very poor signal yet EE has the best usually where I live. I tried online chat to cancel and got through to Adam, he was painfully slow and eventually gave me their website so I could sort it out myself ! Just got a reply from Sid but not sure what he said is correct as rwg that use EE signal had 3 or 4 bars of signal here and mobile data worked whereas their SIM using EE only has 1 bar and data doesn't work at all. The chat was a joke as not helpful and the website link still hasn't helped getting out of the contract so I have had to raise a ticket !
