We've been using Switchboard Free or years for four different entities and they are excellent. The service just works and is very flexible, and even our customers love it! The billing is clear, the online support is great (it's the only chat I'm happy to use) and you can speak to someone straightaway in the UK if you prefer to phone. I have no hesitation in recommending the service.

I've been a customer of SwitchboardFREE for approximately three years, and it's with great regret that I find myself compelled to write this review. My journey with them, which initially seemed promising, has taken a frustrating turn, particularly in recent times. Firstly, the mobile app's usability is far below acceptable standards. Navigating through the app is a constant struggle, with frequent crashes and glitches that make it virtually unusable for any practical purpose. This has significantly hampered my ability to manage communications efficiently, a critical aspect of my business needs. Moreover, the customer service experience has been profoundly disappointing. Each interaction has been marked by long waiting times, unhelpful responses, and a general sense of apathy towards resolving customer issues. This lack of support and understanding from their team has only added to the mounting frustrations. The most pressing issue, however, has been with porting my number to another provider. Despite my repeated requests and the considerable time I have spent trying to resolve this (over 60 days and counting), SwitchboardFREE has continually failed to release my number. This is more than an inconvenience; it's a significant disruption to my business operations and communications. In summary, my experience with SwitchboardFREE has been extremely unsatisfactory. The subpar mobile app, poor customer service, and the inability to efficiently port my number have led me to the decision to not only leave their service but also to advise others to consider alternative providers who value customer experience and reliability.

Poor Service, poor response and a largely dishonest company. Would never recommend a company that is prepared to take someone’s money who have not even used the service and cancelled literally after two (2) days. The company claims that they have a right to lock me in for 99 days despite my displeasure with my very early, very poor experience. May be legal but totally immoral! Shame on you Switchboard Free! Many more honest and capable service providers available as an option to the public

This company decided to lock me into a 90 day term despite me cancelling my service within 2 days of signing up due to evidently poor customer service and ridiculously poor support overall. An absolute bunch of blatant thieves to steer well clear of for those looking for a VOIP service. Fortunately there are many better and reliable choices out there.

We switched two lines over to SwitchboardFREE it was a bit of a nightmare due to multiple complications with the old providers but SwitchboardFREE were very supportive and we got it done in the end. The range of services offered are good and the system is very flexible for routing calls to different UK staff members, the dashboard is comprehensive and quite user friendly plus the Softphone app is first class, there are not really any downsides except they don’t lend themselves to international calls unlike almost all other providers hence we have retained facilities with Number People and Telappliant who are two other good reliable providers. Everything considered SwitchboardFREE are first class and probably the best if you are are a 100% UK focused business.
