I’ve very happy with my skuma the only thing I have a issue with is the hot water just not hot enough for tea and coffee with milk

Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.
This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

I recently purchased a Skuma water filtration system and while I am impressed with the taste of the water, there are several issues that need to be addressed.Firstly, the machine is noticeably loud during operation, especially when adding water. This is in contrast to other brands like Virgin Pure, which are much quieter. The noise level is quite disruptive and not what I expected.Additionally, the spare water container requires frequent emptying, which is inconvenient and time-consuming.I also observed that the water output is significantly low when the setting is on 'infinite' flow.While the water quality is satisfactory, these operational flaws are considerable. If these problems are not resolved, I would consider returning the machine. I hope this feedback is useful for potential buyers and that the company addresses these issues promptly.

Update: After I wrote this review, they finally got in touch with me. I received a refund as they are not sure when they will be able to enter and support the North American market, which is much appreciated and was not expected. At the end of the day though, they ignored my emails for over a month and didn't respond until I left this review. It never should have come to that. I have a customer facing job and I would never ignore several emails from my customers over the course of a month. They could have done better. Backed this product on IndieGogo and they have been unresponsive for months. Told me they were building out a team in North America to handle support and maintenance and that I could wait to receive my unit until then. That was a year ago. I've been asking for an update for months now and they won't respond. I can't recommend this company or product with how they are handling their communication and product rollout.

Got a Skuma water machine and it really stepped up my family's water game, the taste and quality of water definately improved. Had some hiccups with it at first, but Skuma team sorted it out within the fist week of reporting the issue. Amazing company with a beautiful mission behind :) Highly recommend!

2nd review 1 year on : I left a review in early 2023 after purchasing my Skuma mentioning how fantastic the unit is and the customer service team, I just messaged them again today and their customer service team are still just as brilliant ! I love this filter. I use it for several months now. Water’s quality is really good. Hot water function is very useful. It looks very elegant. Simple to use. Filter change is super easy. Customer service is fantastic. I am very happy that I chose Skuma.

Although I had a small issue at first, Alex was extremely helpful and resolved it swiftly for me. Customer service from Alex has been outstanding throughout and I am super happy with my water machine, everything works perfectly and the purity is remarkable! I will be placing a new order soon for more minerals as I want to try them all! Thank you Alex for your help and support!

Brilliant! Bought this as I live on the 26th floor in an apartment and the water did not taste good. Have been drinking so much more water since having this machine. Would highly recommend!

The perfect solution! I’ve been looking for a high level water filter which isn’t plugged in to the mains (I rent). Previous to Sküma I was lugging 6x2ltr bottles of water and to my apartment in central Manchester. As I drink 3 litres a day I’d have to make this trip every other day! Now I’ve got (better tasting) mineral on tap. I love it and cannot do without! Everyone should try!

After doing a lot of research on the best on the counter RO water filter, I eventually landed on Skuma and it hasn’t disappointed. I initially thought the infusion replacements would be too expensive but calculated that it’s still cheaper than buying bottled mineral water plus saving on plastic. Would highly recommend.
