Hot water issues
I’ve very happy with my skuma the only thing I have a issue with is the hot water just not hot enough for tea and coffee with milk

Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.
This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

I love the concept of my Skuma machine, it is the perfect solution for us to get clean chemical and pollutant free water. Great looking device, not too big, easy to use......but it has been SO unreliable and fragile. We were one of the first customers for this kit, and we are now waiting for our FOURTH replacement unit. First two leaked, third one stopped refilling as a button under the waste tank broke, now we have a machine that seems to have a mind of its own with the touch buttons not working, then working, random water dispensing, and now it says the cartridge needs replacing even though I replaced it only 3 weeks ago. When they work they are great, but they are so fragile, and just glad they have a warranty, and glad Skuma have such great customer service (although the online help and youtube videos are useless). I really wanted to give a 5 star review...but we have had so many problems over the last 12+ months I just couldn't. Looking forward to our 5th Skuma machine and hopefully a working one!!

We love our Sküma! The water tastes so good, I'm never going back to tap water, especially considering the state of our Water Companies, don't trust them at all! The machine is easy to use, you have to patient when dispensing water, it is quite slow, but definitely well worth the wait! We have found that the hot water isn't quite as hot as we'd like, but as we only use it for room temperature water that's not a problem for us at all. Also Sküm's customer service is great!

The unit doesn't provide hot water, trying to cancel a subscription is a long drawn out lengthy process and customer services operative seemed to get annoyed with me for wanting to cancel a subscription. The waste water tank is too small and needs emptying regularly. Strip test showed exactly the same on tap water and Skuma filtered water.

The best purchase I've made for a long time! It's simple to set up and cool to look at. I love the optional supplements and love to feed my plants the cloudy waste. The service is great and the science awesome.
