Hot water issues
I’ve very happy with my skuma the only thing I have a issue with is the hot water just not hot enough for tea and coffee with milk

Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.
This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

The customer service for these guys is outstanding, even the best of us have issues with tech from time to time but these guys are on it and they work with you rather against you.... I don't judge on the issue but I do judge on how it reacted to,well done Skuma

I have recently had a very negative experience with this company. I have had 2 faulty items within the space of a few weeks with missing feet and leaking all over my worktop. Despite trying to call and requesting a call back due to issues I am having, I have been told there is no option for telephone calls at present (which appears contradictory to a recent review reply I have just read on this site). The company has offered only Whatsapp communication, which can take many days to receive an answer to. I found the product itself to be very clunky to use with constant emptying of what I considered to be a poorly positioned waste water unit (it is at the rear of the unit so not easily accessible when you have to get to it multiple times a day). I found it quite flimsy and didn't have much faith in the build quality for such an expensive item. The hot water didn't get hot enough to make coffee for me, and the cold water was room temperature. I am not having the best experience with getting a refund from this company either, with slow replies and quite a tricky returns process which I didn't find to be readily available (I was informed via Whatsapp of a £75 fine if you don't package the faulty item correctly). I hope to get my money back soon as I have had to purchase an alternative in the meantime and am currently significantly out of pocket.

Skuma water was the best investment for me and my family. We love the taste of the water; using all the different minerals keep me and my family healthy!

Took delivery of the Skuma machine and have been using it for a week and absolutely love it. Feeling so much better knowing that I’m not drinking water with no chemicals or metals. Great product and would recommend.

Fantastic customer service! Love the product I have nothing but good things to say. I messaged them regarding maintenance kits as they were out of stock for a while, I was surprised when I received a kit once they had come back in stock for free! It’s only 20 quid but the thought was really appreciated and I don’t think I’ve ever been so satisfied with a company/product. Get a filter, you won’t regret it!

I bought the Skuma for peace of mind knowing that the water was fully filtered as you can smell the chlorine in the tap water where I live, especially notice it now when I’m filling up the water tank. The infusions are a nice touch as well to reintroduce the minerals and some extra benefits as well such as vitamin D in the sunshine support one. Water tastes great, and even had some compliments from visitors as well. Highly recommended

I have just been using the Sküma water system for a week and I must say I love it. The system comes amazingly well packed and secured so delivery is no issue. The machine is noisy but it is only when it pumping the water back into the system and it doesn’t bother me, my microwave, oven, dishwasher and fridge make similar noises when they are working. While the waste water tank has to be emptied regularly, I prefer to know the unwanted chemicals and hormones are being completely removed from my water and not just passed through the filter. I also like the addition of the minerals feature and that I can make a cup of tea out of the machine. I know some people have complained about it not being hot enough but if you contact the amazing customer support team, they will provide you a video how to calibrate the temperature of the machine. Overall, my experience has been good and I have not had to complain anymore about finding empty water jugs in the fridge. My only suggestion to the Sküma team is that the machines should get to the customers already calibrated to avoid these sort of queries. If the machine has a 85 degree temperature option, you want to be able to use it as is from the get go.

Skuma is a great filter machine. Infusion packs are excellent.
