Hot water issues
I’ve very happy with my skuma the only thing I have a issue with is the hot water just not hot enough for tea and coffee with milk

Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.
This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

Fantastic machine and way better than buying Brita filters. Its a no fuss machine whihc we've had for a year now. RO is wayyyy better than a bog standard filter one finds in jugs with disposable filters. The Skuma filter only needs to be changed once a year. One little gripe is that they've changed the bottle size of the infusions and the original cap doesnt fit anymore, so Ive had to reach out to their customer care team for a replacement cap.

Easy to order, water is great and the selection of infusions is good, we tend to stick to vitamin D.

Skuma have transformed my daily water intake by improving the quality and taste of my regular tap water. I would never drink my regular tap water as it always smelt highly of chlorine so opted for bottled water. Having tried this machine, my regular tap water has been transformed by removing all the harmful chemicals and adding nutrient rich infusions to mine and my families daily intake - the health impact on the family is such an important aspect to me. The glass bottles eliminate the micro plastics getting into the water too. Fantastic all round!

Skuma water is a winner in our household. My family and I are so impressed with the water purity, electrolytes and hydration levels of the new device. Our daily water intake is substantial as the taste is so fresh. Thank you Skuma water team!

The taste of the water is really pure, makes you want to drink more. It’s reasssuring to know that the minerals are added through the infusion. The entire product is excellent.

The company replaced my water unit with no fuss, I found them easy to communicate regarding my complaint which was resolved eventually.

I love my water machine and is really good to have different boosters. Before I spend lots of money for bottles of PH 9 water . With the machine you save money , time and no plastic bottles. My partner also start to drink more water and read about the different benefits. I planing to buy one machine for my hair salon as well . Only one suggestion based on my partner opinion: will be nice the booster to have some flowers like lemon or strawberry

Well where do I start. What an awful experience I went through. I have been through 3! Yes 3 faulty units. The 1st stopped producing waste water after just less than 2 months of owning it. It was then replaced for a 2nd unit which straight away had an issue with the infusion function and wouldn’t register the bottles and after having it for 1 day the unit completely stopped working. The 3rd unit turned up, with some free infusion bottles the gave for the nightmare I had been having. After being assured by Alex that he himself has tried and tested this unit with no problem and it was there newest generation model. Surprise surprise the unit turned up and instantly would not work due to the unit flashing filter replacement with the brand new filter that was supplied with the unit. I then tried all the filters from the previous units and lo and behold there was still the same issue. There was no conversation about me testing this new generation they are claiming either and actually in the day I received before I even opened it he rang up to say they have had complaints about this new unit leaking so it was already not sounding good. The customer service they provide is average and strung out. It all has to be done via email or what’s app message. It is so very clear that the skuma water filter is not a finished product although they have put them on the market to sell to the public. It’s very cheaply made for the price you pay for the unit and is also very loud. The water it produces is not cold water it is room temperature. You may be lucky with your purchase or you may not. But my experience was nothing but a headache. I would pay close attention to the other bad reviews before you decide to buy one. After I was left with 3 non working units sat in my house I finally gave up. I did however receive a full refund after they had recieved all 3 units back out side of there policy but as a business so they should with faulty units. One of the reasons it was outside there policy for returns date is the length of time any communication took with and with the other 2 units I tried of corse this took time to receive them try them and get them all sent back. So agin this is due to them. But the fact there refund policy only lasts 30 days says allot about the product. Fortunately for me I have full video and picture evidence to support all my claims I have made and contradict anything they claim. It’s such a shame you cannot upload these to your review.
