Hot water issues

Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.
This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

It is great to be drinking clean water now, it tastes way better and the health benefits speak for them selves. Very pleased with how easy it is to use and overall very positive. My only feedback would be: -It's a shame it doesn't chill the water for cool. - The interface on the machine is not very reactive so have to tap the buttons multiple times. - The max hot setting is not as hot as your kettle when it just boiled. - You have to empty the waste alot at least 4-5 times a day.

Customer service was great, easy to get in touch via WhatsApp. Installation was easy as well. Helpful videos with step by step instructions. Was slightly concerned after reading some reviews mentioning leaks but nothing like that with my unit! Really happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend!

The device and the idea behind is great. I always wanted a filter that doesn't require any installment. It works well, filters the water, and infusion idea is great. However, I gave it 4 stars because there are few things that needs to be improved: 1- The waste water container is too small. It constantly requires emptying and it could be more helpful to increase its capacity a bit. 2- heating is not efficient. Hot water option is great but it doesn't work efficiently. When I try to get some hot water, the machine just starts to squirt the water towards the end and it all gets messy. I never managed to get hot water without machine going crazy. And even if so, it is not really "hot". it is lukewarm. 3- infusion system doesn't always work efficiently. The reason is it turns on itself even if I turn it off, or the infusion lights go crazy disco mode itself sometimes, turning on and off. I am not bothered with this much as infusion is not as important as filtering but you expect your new machine to work efficiently. I also don't taste the difference in the water so I am not sure how much infusion is being added. Also they swapped to sachet infusions, haven't used one yet but not sure how it will work to dissolve it like Alka Seltzer and use. 4- Small improvements needed for better sensors. after 2 weeks the filter sensor on my device went crazy. I started to receive a notification about changing filter. no matter what i do, it didn't work. The machine occasionally starts to filter again but then gives a warning. even if I was sent a new sensor to change it, it breaks my confidence for longer run. 5- maybe working on the noise. the machine is loud when it is filtering. Now onto the positives: 1- speedy and good customer service: they are very responsive and helpful. They reply quickly and offer solutions. 2- decent filtering. I have a water hardness level measure and i get decent results. 3- even though they discontinues coffee booster infusion, the infusions are great, i hope they expand the idea with new options. 4- good payment options, splitting offers. I hope they keep their accessories prices down. 5- very helpful video instructions. they have a video for everything and makes it easy to manage the filter or solve problems quickly. helpful for neurodiverse people! It is a great idea and good filter, if you don't want big installment works. Especially for a single person, it is efficient. I would recommend it but also expect some improvements for longer run.

Love my filter. So much better than tap water and it's great there's a selection of infusion bottles to add back in minerals. I still add a tiny bit of Celtic sea salt to mine since the infusions have no sodium. I also restructure the water with a restructuring wand. Filter is easy to use and maintain. Not too expensive either

Great machine and Service Water tastes much better and the machine looks good in my office. I did have an issue with it but the Customer Service team did everything to resolve, So thank you very much everyone I always recommend you.

Although I am still eagerly awaiting my machines arrival, I can vouch for the fabulous customer service. I was offered a free upgrade to the latest version and have been very impressed with the communication I’ve received from the Team at Skuma.

It’s a great product to get clean water by the press of a button. You can set the temperature of the water and also how much quantity you would like. Infusions very good idea, but run out to quick and work out a bit on the expensive side. Also takes to to bring out the water once you have filled the tank

I’ve been using Sküma Water with the infusions for just over 2 years now. It’s simple to maintain it’s affordable. The fact we can add supplements to our water makes for getting children’s health and drinking more water really easy. 🤩🙌🏻 a reminder on the water machine when to change your filter is helpful. Knowing we are drinking clean water 💧 which can be tasted is brilliant.
