Hot water issues
I’ve very happy with my skuma the only thing I have a issue with is the hot water just not hot enough for tea and coffee with milk

Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.
This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

I had an issue with the infusion not working. We went back and forward with advice via email for a while and then Skuma requested I send the machine back for a service. Talking the machine to the post office to be picked up was pretty stsraight forward and my machine was returned a week later in tip top working condition. they even replaced a part in my waste water that had rusted. Infusions working again. I really missed my Skuma the week it was in the workshop. Cant live without it now. Great customer service.

Received my Skuma and came with videos so easy to set up. Really happy how it works and has replaced our tap water from the sink. Best of all the whole family now use it and with the confidence of having fresh clean water without all the nasties! The only slight negative is that the hot water takes a little time to heat up and the next glass of cold thereafter is warm but easily sortable.

Machine delivers exactly what we expect: really good tasting filtered water! It’s unbelievable how different it tastes compared to those filter jugs. Besides that, I gave 4 stars because I believe there are a couple of things that needs improving: - Packing: I bought a maintenance kit, and, for the price you pay, you expect things to be well presented, but my feeling was that things were shovelled inside the main box and also I was missing 2 descalers but on the other hand there were 3 infusions more. - Waste water tank: it gets full too frequently

Great value and great product! A water filter that solved my issue with finding good water because getting plastic water bottles is not long term sustainable.

As soon as I ordered the Skuma, communication was clear when it was going to be delivered. Very well package, easy step by step guide to set the system up, with a QR code to a video link but to be honest it’s only a few steps to set it up but they made it very easy. I absolutely love it, it’s the best thing I’ve bought in a long time.

Having spent some time researching options for a RO water filter I eventually settled on the skuma, the infusions were a big reason , being able to put the trace minerals back in to the drinking water and even swap them out for alternative infusions just makes sense.Set up is straightforward and so far I couldn’t be happier with it, I’ve had one issue with the super filter but that was quickly resolved and a replacement sent after speaking to support. I’ve already had a couple of family members pick one up as a result.
