Hot water issues
I’ve very happy with my skuma the only thing I have a issue with is the hot water just not hot enough for tea and coffee with milk
Sküma Water is exceptionally well-rated by customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and quality, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.

Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.
This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

I bought the Sküma reverse osmosis system in May 24. First the product: the system itself was not too expensive compared to many other similar system. I chose this one because of its choice and precision of remineralisation. I installed a salt-based home water softener at the same time, so I needed specifically a reverse#osmosis system to reduce sodium in the water. And also to filter out plastic and chloride, for which I previously used a Brita jug. The installation was simple enough. The tricky bit is to find the right countertop space, so that you can remove the waste tank easily without moving the machine every time. However, now you can buy a self-emptying waste tank (which I pre-ordered, but haven't received/tried yet). I also have a subscription for mineralising salts, which are delivered in sachets, 4 sachets for 20 pounds, enough for about 3 weeks for a single person working from home half of the time. I started having issues in the first month, with the refill tank leaking. Fortunately, the customer service was superb, and the tank was replaced. After that however, the storage tank or internal piping started leaking, so the whole machine was replaced. That was in July last year. The replacement machine is working fine. I get occasional leak from the refill tank, but the customer service was always very responsive and showed me how to right the gasket, which fixed the issue for the moment. + Very good customer service. + Precise remineralisation - Choice of remineralisation (pretty limited options, so I just choose the basic one with Mg, Ca and K, I wish there were trace elements as well like in some mineral waters) - Price of remineralisation (although maybe in the future with competition there will be more) + Price of the device - Installation of the device - need to be able to remove waste tank and refill tank. Also the vapour from using hot water options can destroy the cabinet above - Only water heating up to 75° is really working. With 85°, the splashes are all over the place, I get scalded, and I am really afraid the whole thing is going to burn, because it produces such a scary noise. - I had multiple leaks. I wish there was a tray or something that would contain the leak. My surface now has stains all over the place and the cabinet door below started to peel off.

Love the infusions, I had terrible leg cramps before I used Skuma but since adding the alkaline infusion they have just stopped! Which makes a a major relief for me I can tell you! Awesome product.

Been using Skuma’s filter for almost 3-4 months now as a family, and everyone relies on it now, even got my younger brother to drink water for once :) Had an issue where the filter started leaking from the dispenser below the LED screen, but contact support representatives and Alex were overly helpful and kind during the whole process, had a call with Alex as I’m writing this as I chose to fix the issue myself (Skuma offered to arrive themselves and take the unit for fixing), and everything works as before now, so thank you Alex and to the support representatives that communicated with me during the issue as it left a positive impression to me and my mother, glad to be one with the community :)

Honestly cannot imagine living without my Skuma! And couldn’t recommend the infusion packs enough! I didn’t drink enough before however Skuma has really changed this and also helps boost the minerals I need day to day!

pro's - Great countertop concept and makes water drinking easier and cheaper. cons - The waste seems to fill up very quickly so feel like I am always emptying! can be noisy.

Used Skuma now for about a year. I'd never EVER drink tap water again after having this. The tap water now smells like swimming pool compared to Skuma. Also my son actually looks forward to visiting just so he he can drink my water and fill his training bottle. It really is a game changer.

It's genuinely good. Look, it's water, I know. But it tastes properly fresh, which is a rare thing these days. And let's be honest, it looks fantastic on the kitchen counter. Really sleek design. If you're after fresh-tasting water and appreciate good design, it's worth checking out. The CS guys are great.
