Experience for 10 months

I bought the Sküma reverse osmosis system in May 24. First the product: the system itself was not too expensive compared to many other similar system. I chose this one because of its choice and precision of remineralisation. I installed a salt-based home water softener at the same time, so I needed specifically a reverse#osmosis system to reduce sodium in the water. And also to filter out plastic and chloride, for which I previously used a Brita jug. The installation was simple enough. The tricky bit is to find the right countertop space, so that you can remove the waste tank easily without moving the machine every time. However, now you can buy a self-emptying waste tank (which I pre-ordered, but haven't received/tried yet). I also have a subscription for mineralising salts, which are delivered in sachets, 4 sachets for 20 pounds, enough for about 3 weeks for a single person working from home half of the time. I started having issues in the first month, with the refill tank leaking. Fortunately, the customer service was superb, and the tank was replaced. After that however, the storage tank or internal piping started leaking, so the whole machine was replaced. That was in July last year. The replacement machine is working fine. I get occasional leak from the refill tank, but the customer service was always very responsive and showed me how to right the gasket, which fixed the issue for the moment. + Very good customer service. + Precise remineralisation - Choice of remineralisation (pretty limited options, so I just choose the basic one with Mg, Ca and K, I wish there were trace elements as well like in some mineral waters) - Price of remineralisation (although maybe in the future with competition there will be more) + Price of the device - Installation of the device - need to be able to remove waste tank and refill tank. Also the vapour from using hot water options can destroy the cabinet above - Only water heating up to 75° is really working. With 85°, the splashes are all over the place, I get scalded, and I am really afraid the whole thing is going to burn, because it produces such a scary noise. - I had multiple leaks. I wish there was a tray or something that would contain the leak. My surface now has stains all over the place and the cabinet door below started to peel off.
