Hot water issues
I’ve very happy with my skuma the only thing I have a issue with is the hot water just not hot enough for tea and coffee with milk

Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.

This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
It’s mostly great but ……
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

Great water quality - minor niggles
We absolutely love the Sküma water filter. Every time a friend comes over we do a blind taste test with them comparing our tap water vs. the filtered water. I wish the hot water would get a bit hotter - honestly, it doesn't feel like 95°C - it's a nice enough drinking temperature, but not hot. Also, apparently it needs descaling every 6-8 weeks, with each maintenance kit costing £20 it suddenly works out more expensive than advertised. Still, the filtered water quality is worth it, and these are just minor niggles.

Love the product 👌
I have ordered Skuma just before Christmas, had some issues with hot water and I did find it a bit difficult to set it up. Initially communication was a bit slow, but I must say after raising it again Julie, who I believe is a customer service person was amazing, she guided me through how to use it, short cuts and some tips, she was very responsive. Everything is up and running and the whole family loves Skuma. ❤️

The best water filter of 2025
I am so pleased with this water filter machine! You can taste the difference between clean and tap water, and definitely taste the minerals when added to the water. I love all the functions and the fact that it is space efficient! Thank you Sküma!

I have ordered these hydration pouches before they are great value for money and last a long time straight through the letterbox and make the water taste great. It’s important to add minerals to your reverse osmosis water and these do just the trick. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely love our Sküma unit
Absolutely love our Sküma unit, no horrible chemical tastes in our water anymore and visible health benefits within a few days of use improving skin hydration. Unit is very simple to use and once you get used to it, becomes second nature to go to the Sküma and bypass the tap. Have had our unit for 3 months now.

The setup is super easy
The setup is super easy. The unit came very well-packed. I've managed to setup myself. The video instructions were very thorough. I am over the moon to be able to ditch the COUNTLESS plastic water bottles. On top of that I could ditch the kettle. The machine itself looks very sleek and goes very well in my counter top.
